⁵ And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and at the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have received their reward. ⁶ But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you. ⁷ But when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their many words. ⁸ Therefore, do not be like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him. ⁹ Therefore, pray in this manner: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name. ¹⁰ Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. ¹¹ Give us this day our daily bread. ¹² And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. ¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

² And he said to them, when you pray, say, Father, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. ³ Give us day by day our daily bread. ⁴ And forgive our sins; for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places:

⁹ Therefore, pray in this manner: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name. ¹⁰ Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. ¹¹ Give us this day our daily bread. ¹² And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. ¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

² You covet, and do not have, so you kill; and envy, and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

¹⁶ Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
