² My brethren, count it all joy when you encounter various trials; ³ Knowing that the trying of your faith produces endurance. ⁴ And let endurance have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.

¹⁰ But you have fully known my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,

² With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love; ³ Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

³ And not only this, but we also rejoice in tribulations: knowing that tribulation works perseverance;

¹¹ Strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, with all endurance and patience with joyfulness;

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁷ Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and is patient for it, until it receives the early and the late rains. ⁸ You also be patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near.
