³³ Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, he was deeply moved, and was troubled, ³⁴ And said, Where have you laid him? They said to him, Lord, come and see. ³⁵ Jesus wept.

³⁶ And one of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and reclined at table. ³⁷ And, behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that Jesus was at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster vial of perfume, ³⁸ And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the perfume. ³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is who touches him: for she is a sinner. ⁴⁰ And Jesus answered him, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he said, Say it, Teacher. ⁴¹ There was a certain creditor who had two debtors: the one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. ⁴² And when they were unable to repay, he freely forgave them both. Now, which of them will love him most? ⁴³ Simon answered, I suppose the one whom he forgave the most. And he said to him, You have judged correctly. ⁴⁴ And he turned to the woman, and said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I entered your house: you gave me no water for my feet, but she has washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with her hair. ⁴⁵ You gave me no kiss: but since I came in this woman has not ceased to kiss my feet. ⁴⁶ You did not anoint my head with oil: but this woman has anointed my feet with perfume. ⁴⁷ Therefore I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but he who is forgiven little, loves little. ⁴⁸ And he said to her, Your sins are forgiven. ⁴⁹ And those who reclined at table with him began to say among themselves, Who is this who even forgives sins? ⁵⁰ And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, so you also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

² Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; ⁴ Who comforts us in all our troubles, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. ¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities; but one who in every respect was tempted as we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Therefore, let us boldly approach the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

³ Remember those who are in prison, as if in prison with them; and those who suffer adversity, since you yourselves are also in the body.

²⁶ And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

²⁹ Let no corrupt words proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for edifying, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

³ Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself.

¹² Therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience;

¹² This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

⁸ Finally, be of one mind, have sympathy for one another, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble.

¹² Therefore, all things that you would have men do for you, do for them: for this is the law and the prophets.

³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ has forgiven you.

¹⁵ Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
