²⁸ And fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

²⁶ and whoever liveth and believeth in me will never die. Believest thou this?

⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed, ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. ⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then will be brought to pass that which is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." ⁵⁵ "Where, O death, is thy sting? Where, O death, is thy victory?" ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the Law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is everlasting life, through Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴³ And he said to him, Truly do I say to thee, Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, then also will God, through Jesus, bring again with him those who have fallen asleep.

⁸ For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Whether then we live or die, we are the Lords.

⁴ and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall mourning, nor crying, nor pain he any more; for the former things are passed away.
