³⁸ But Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized to the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

⁶ Jesus saith to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one cometh to the Father but through me.

⁹ But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye may show forth the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light;

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, will, after ye have suffered a while, himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

⁷ For God did not call us to live in uncleanness, but in purity.

¹⁶ Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever ye ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

²⁶ For consider, brethren, who ye are that have been called; not many wise men after the fashion of the world, not many mighty, not many noble; ²⁷ but the foolish things of the world did God choose, to put to shame the wise; and the weak things of the world did God choose, to put to shame the things which are strong;

¹ I exhort you, therefore, I the prisoner in the Lord, to walk worthily of the calling with which ye were called,

⁴ There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye were called in one hope of your calling;

¹¹ For which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and perfect [in you] all pleasure in goodness, and the work of faith, with power; ¹² that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ For as in one body we have many members, and the members have not all the same office,

²⁹ For in respect to his gifts and his calling, there is no change of purpose with God.

¹⁰ Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye will never fall.

¹ I exhort you, therefore, I the prisoner in the Lord, to walk worthily of the calling with which ye were called, ² with all humility and meekness, with longsuffering; bearing with one another in love, ³ endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
