⁵⁵ For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. ⁵⁶ He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood dwelleth in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father sent me, and I live by reason of the Father; so he that eateth me, he also shall live by reason of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread which came down from heaven; not as the fathers ate, and died; he that eateth this bread will live for ever. ⁵⁹ These things he said in a synagogue, while teaching in Capernaum. ⁶⁰ Many therefore of his disciples, when they heard this, said, This teaching is hard; who can listen to it? ⁶¹ Jesus therefore knew within himself that his disciples were murmuring about this, and said to them, Doth this offend you? ⁶² What then if ye behold the Son of man ascending where he was before? ⁶³ It is the spirit which maketh alive; the flesh profiteth nothing. The words which I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life. ⁶⁴ But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that did not believe, and who it was that would betray him.

⁶ Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; ⁷ and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us;

²⁸ Wherefore receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear.

¹² For which cause I suffer also these things. But I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which he hath committed to me unto that day.

¹⁶ The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God;

¹⁸ My children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him; ²⁰ because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have confidence toward God; ²² and whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

¹³ These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye who believe in the name of the Son of God have everlasting life.

³⁶ He that believeth in the Son hath everlasting life; and he that disobeyeth the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

¹² Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is approved, he will receive the crown of life, which He promised to them that love him.

¹¹ And many false prophets will arise, and will deceive many. ¹² And because iniquity shall abound, the love of the many will wax cold. ¹³ But he that endureth to the end will be saved.
