¹¹ ‘I know the plans (intentions) (thoughts) that I have for you, says Jehovah. They are plans (intentions) for peace and not disaster. They are intentions to give you a future filled with hope.

⁴ In reply Jesus answered: »It is written; man shall not live on bread alone, but on all (everything) (every word) (every utterance) (every declaration) that proceeds from the mouth of Jehovah.« (Deuteronomy 8:3)

¹⁸ Little children, it is the last hour! You heard that the antichrist is coming. Even now many antichrists have come. That is how we know that it is the last hour.

⁸ »I ALONE AM JEHOVAH. THAT IS MY NAME. I WILL NOT GIVE MY GLORY TO ANOTHER! I will not let idols share my praise.

⁸ This time the Devil took Jesus to an extremely high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world with all their greatness. ⁹ »I will give all this to you,« the Devil told Jesus, »if you kneel down and worship me.« ¹⁰ »Go away, Satan!« demanded Jesus. »It is written, »It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’« (Deuteronomy 6:13-15)

¹ Therefore imitate God like beloved children. ² Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us. He was an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling odor. ³ Fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among holy ones. ⁴ Nor should there be filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting but rather giving of thanks. ⁵ For you know this with certainty, that no fornicator, no unclean person, no covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words. It is because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Do not be partakers with them.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit. Test the spirits to see whether they are from God. This is because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

⁵ There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

¹ »‘Do not make idols or set up statues, stone pillars, or carved stones to worship. I am Jehovah your God!

⁴ »Do not make your own carved idols or statues that represent any creature in the sky, on the earth, or in the water. ⁵ »Do not worship them or serve them. I, Jehovah your God, am a God demanding exclusive devotion. (I do not tolerate rivals.) I will not share your affection with any other god. I punish children for their parents’ sins to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.
