²³ Sing to Jehovah, all the earth! Day after day announce that Jehovah saves his people.

¹ Sing to Jehovah a new song. Sing to Jehovah, all the earth. ² Sing to Jehovah, bless his name! Declare the good news of his salvation from day to day. ³ Proclaim his glory among the nations, his wonders among all people. ⁴ For Jehovah is great, and greatly to be praised! He should be reverenced above all gods. ⁵ For all the gods of the nations are idols; but Jehovah made the heavens. ⁶ Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. ⁷ Give to Jehovah, you families of the people. Give to Jehovah glory and strength. ⁸ Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Bring an offering and come into his courts. ⁹ Worship Jehovah in the beauty of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. ¹⁰ Say among the nations, Jehovah reigns; and the world shall be established; it shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples in uprightness. ¹¹ Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness of it. ¹² Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it! Then all the trees of the forest will rejoice. ¹³ He comes before Jehovah! Yes, he comes to judge the earth! He will judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth (fidelity) (faithfulness).

⁸ I heard the voice of Jehovah. He said: »Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?« And I said: »Here I am. Send me!«

¹³ »I AM JEHOVAH, YOUR GOD! I take hold of your right hand and say to you: Do not fear; I will help you.

⁷ How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace and who bring good tidings of good things! For they proclaim salvation and say to Zion: »Your God reigns as king!« (Hebrew: Elohiym’ malak’: God rules!)

¹ The word of Jehovah came to Jonah a second time: ² »Arise and go to the great city, Nineveh. Proclaim to it the proclamation I give you.« ³ So Jonah arose, and went to Nineveh, according to the word of Jehovah. Nineveh was a very important and large city, a three days' walk [from one side to the other]. ⁴ Jonah began to enter into the city, a day's journey walking, and he shouted: »Nineveh will be overthrown in Forty days.« ⁵ The people of Nineveh believed God and they proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. ⁶ The news reached the king of Nineveh. He left his throne, and took off his robe and covered himself with sackcloth. Then he sat in ashes. ⁷ He made proclamation and published it in Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying: »Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; let them not eat, nor drink water. ⁸ »Let them be covered with sackcloth, both man and beast. Let them sincerely call on God! Let them turn away each one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in his hands. ⁹ »Who knows whether God will turn back and change his mind, and turn away from his fierce anger that we will not perish?«

⁶ Then I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven. He had everlasting good news to preach to those who dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.

²⁴ Tell people about his glory! Tell all the nations about his miracles.

¹⁰ »And the good news must first be preached to all the nations.

⁴⁷ »Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

⁸ »You will receive power, when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.«

¹⁴ »We all fell to the ground. I heard a voice speaking to me. It said in the Hebrew tongue: ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ (You only hurt yourself.) ¹⁵ »I said: ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And he answered: ‘I am Jesus whom you persecute. ¹⁶ »Stand up on your feet. I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things that you have seen, and of those things I will show to you. ¹⁷ »I will rescue you from the people and the nations. I am sending you to them. ¹⁸ »To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God. They may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

¹⁹ »Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁴ »The good news of the kingdom will be preached in the entire world for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.

⁴⁷ »Jehovah commanded us with these words: I appoint you as a light to the nations. My salvation will come to the ends of the earth.« (Isaiah 49:6)

³ Proclaim his glory among the nations, his wonders among all people.

¹³ »Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.« (Joel 2:32) ¹⁴ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone to preach? ¹⁵ How will they preach unless they have been sent? Just as it is written: »How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace and who bring good tidings of good things! For they proclaim salvation and say to Zion: »Your God reigns as king!« (Hebrew: Elohiym’ malak’: God rules!) (Isaiah 52:7)

¹⁵ He said to them, »Go into the entire world, and preach the good news to the whole creation.
