⁵ Those who cry while they plant will joyfully sing while they harvest.

¹¹ ‘I know the plans (intentions) (thoughts) that I have for you, says Jehovah. They are plans (intentions) for peace and not disaster. They are intentions to give you a future filled with hope. ¹² ‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me and I will hear you. ¹³ ‘When you look for me, you will find me. When you wholeheartedly seek me, ¹⁴ ‘I will let you find me, declares Jehovah. I will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have scattered you,’ declares Jehovah. ‘I will bring you back from the place where you are being held captive.’

¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

³³ »I spoke to you that in me you might have peace. In the world you have tribulation. Be of good cheer for I have conquered the world!«

⁹ For God has not appointed us to experience his wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. ¹⁰ He died for us, that, whether we are awake in this life or sleep in death, we should live together with him. ¹¹ Comfort each other and strengthen one another as you are doing.

²⁵ Not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and even more, as you see the day approaching.

²⁹ Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth. Speak what is good for understanding as the need may be, that it may give grace (divine favor) to those who hear.

²² Throw your burden upon Jehovah and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken!

⁴ Be happy with Jehovah and he will provide you with the desires of your heart.

⁴ I went to Jehovah for help. He answered me and rescued me from all my fears.

⁷ Jehovah is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted him, so I received help. My heart is triumphant and I thank him with my song.

¹ I will lift up my eyes to the mountains from where my help comes. ² My help comes from Jehovah, who made heaven and earth. ³ He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber. ⁴ Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. ⁵ Jehovah is your keeper. Jehovah is your shade on your right hand. ⁶ The sun will not strike you by day. The moon will not strike you by night. ⁷ Jehovah will protect you from all evil. He will protect (preserve) you. ⁸ May Jehovah guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

⁵ Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who trust him.

²⁴ »I tell you, believe that you receive what you pray for and you shall have it.

⁷ God has not given us a spirit of timidity (fear), but of power and love and discipline.

⁹ »Have I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed; for Jehovah your God is with you wherever you go.«
