⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect. It gives new life. The testimony of Jehovah is dependable. It makes the simple wise.

² »Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.«

⁴² »Be alert, for you do not know what day the Lord will come.

²¹ »There will be great tribulation. It will be greater than any has ever been from the beginning of the world until now. ²² »Unless those days are shortened, no flesh will be saved. For the sake of the chosen ones (selected individuals), those days will be shortened.

¹ Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea during the reign of King Herod. Astrologers arrived in Jerusalem from the east. ² They asked: »Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and came to offer him praise.« ³ King Herod was troubled when he heard this. Jerusalem was also troubled. ⁴ He called together all the chief priests and teachers of the Law and asked where will the Messiah be born? ⁵ »Bethlehem in Judea,« they answered. This is what the prophet wrote: ⁶ »Bethlehem in the land of Judah, you are not the least of the leading cities of Judah. A leader will come out of you. He will shepherd my people Israel.«

²² »Unless those days are shortened, no flesh will be saved. For the sake of the chosen ones (selected individuals), those days will be shortened.

¹³ »The person who endures to the end will be saved.

¹³ »Enter through the narrow gate, since the gate to destruction is wide and the road that leads to destruction is wide and many enter through it. ¹⁴ »Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way to life. Only a few put forth the effort. Yes, only a few people enter the narrow gate.

⁴⁴ »Be prepared! The Son of man will come at a time when you do not expect it.

³⁶ »Be on the watch all the time. Pray for the strength to escape all these things in order to stand before the Son of man.«

¹² Now it was the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the Passover. His disciples said to him: »Where do you want to go to prepare to eat the Passover?«

¹² When they believed what Philip preached about the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

²⁸ Then Agrippa said to Paul: »In a short time you would persuade (convince) me to become a Christian.« ²⁹ Paul replied, »I pray to God, that you and also all that hear me this day were altogether such as I am, except for these bonds.« ³⁰ When he finished speaking, the king rose up and the governor and Bernice and all who sat with them. ³¹ As they left they talked between themselves, saying, »This man does nothing worthy of death or of prison.« ³² Then Agrippa said to Festus, »This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.«

³³ That very hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds. Then he and all his family were baptized.

¹⁶ I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

⁴ He (Jesus) gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us out of this present evil age. This is according to the will of our God and Father.

³⁰ »God overlooked the times of ignorance; but now he commands men everywhere to repent. ³¹ »He has established a day (time) in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man [Jesus] whom he has ordained. Of that he gives proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.« (John 5:22) (Isaiah 2:4) (Acts 10:42)

³⁷ Now when they heard this, they were stabbed to the heart, and said to Peter and to the rest of the apostles: »Men and brothers, what shall we do?« ³⁸ Then Peter said: »Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ »The promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as Jehovah our God calls.« (Micah 4:5) (Deuteronomy 6:4)

¹⁷ If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things have passed away. Behold, they have become new.

³² »You will know the truth and the truth will make you free!«

¹⁹ »Repent therefore, and turn around, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times (seasons) of refreshing shall come from the presence of Jehovah. (Deuteronomy 18:18, 19)

¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

⁸ Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded (uncertain) (doubter) (skeptic).

¹⁹ »Repent therefore, and turn around, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times (seasons) of refreshing shall come from the presence of Jehovah. (Deuteronomy 18:18, 19) ²⁰ »He will send Jesus Christ, who preached to you. ²¹ whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things. God spoke about this through all his holy prophets since the world began.

²² You put away your former way (course) (behavior) (conversation) of life, the old self that was corrupt with the lusts of deceit.

¹⁶ »He who believes and is baptized will be saved. He who does not believe will be condemned.

³⁸ Then Peter said: »Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
