⁸ I heard the voice of Jehovah. He said: »Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?« And I said: »Here I am. Send me!«

⁶ Jesus proclaimed: »I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through me.

³⁸ Then Peter said: »Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

⁹ You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people for God’s own possession, that you may show the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

¹¹ ‘I know the plans (intentions) (thoughts) that I have for you, says Jehovah. They are plans (intentions) for peace and not disaster. They are intentions to give you a future filled with hope.

²⁹ The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.

¹⁰ Brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election (choosing) sure. If you do (practice) (exercise) (apply) these things, you will never stumble!

¹ I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, invite you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called. ² Walk with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, putting up with one another in love. ³ Diligently try to keep the unity (oneness) of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
