Bible verses about "sickness" | NHEB

Psalms 91:1-16

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of Shaddai. 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust." 3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His truth is an encompassing shield. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; 6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. 8 You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the LORD, my refuge, the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 no evil shall overtake you; no plague shall come near your dwelling. 11 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread upon the lion and the viper. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot. 14 "Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him. 16 I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation."

Psalms 23:1-6

1 [A Psalm by David.] The LORD is my shepherd; I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the LORD's house forever.

The night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world." 6 When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man's eyes with the mud, 7 and said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which means "Sent"). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.
