1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, and darkness was on the surface of the watery depths. And God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. There was evening and there was morning, one day. 6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." And it was so. 7 And God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. 8 And God called the expanse Sky. And God saw that it was good. There was evening and there was morning, a second day. 9 And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together in one gathering, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. And the waters under the sky gathered to their gatherings, and the dry land appeared. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, "Let the earth produce vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with its seed in it, on the earth." And it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with its seed in it, after their kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day. 14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and for years; 15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. 17 And God set them in the expanse of sky to give light to the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. 20 And God said, "Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of sky." And it was so. 21 And God created the large sea creatures, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth." 23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. 24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind." And it was so. 25 And God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. And God saw that it was good. 26 And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 And God created man in his own image. In Godʼs image he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 29 And God said, "Look, I have given you every plant yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. 30 To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and look, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.
Bible verses about "science" | NHEB
7 He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing. 8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them. 9 He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it. 10 He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness. 11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. 12 He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab. 13 By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent. 14 Look, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him. But the thunder of his power who can understand?"
27 When he established the heavens, I was there; when he set a circle on the surface of the deep,
27 And God created man in his own image. In Godʼs image he created him; male and female he created them.
4 "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding.
17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
7 He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.
20 For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made. So they are without excuse.
20 Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;
13 I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under the sky. It is a heavy burden that God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with. 14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and look, all is vanity and a chasing after wind. 15 That which is crooked can't be made straight; and that which is lacking can't be counted. 16 I said to myself, "Look, I have obtained for myself great wisdom above all who were before me in Jerusalem. Yes, my heart has had great experience of wisdom and knowledge." 17 I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also was a chasing after wind.
22 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
5 He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever and ever.
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
4 "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measures, if you know? Or who stretched the line on it? 6 Whereupon were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? 8 "Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth from the womb, 9 when I made clouds its garment, and wrapped it in thick darkness, 10 marked out for it my bound, set bars and doors, 11 and said, 'Here you may come, but no further. Here your proud waves shall be stayed?' 12 "Have you commanded the morning in your days, and caused the dawn to know its place; 13 that it might take hold of the farthest parts of the earth, and shake the wicked out of it? 14 It is changed as clay under the seal, and stands forth as a garment. 15 From the wicked, their light is withheld. The high arm is broken. 16 "Have you entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep? 17 Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death? 18 Have you comprehended the earth in its breadth? Declare, if you know it all. 19 "What is the way to the dwelling of light? As for darkness, where is its place, 20 that you should take it to its bound, that you should discern the paths to its house? 21 Surely you know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great. 22 Have you entered the treasuries of the snow, or have you seen the treasures of the hail, 23 which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? 24 By what way is the lightning distributed, or the east wind scattered on the earth? 25 Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunderstorm; 26 To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; on the wilderness, in which there is no man; 27 to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to spring forth? 28 Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew? 29 Out of whose womb came the ice? The gray frost of the sky, who has given birth to it? 30 The waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen.
2 The LORD's works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.
