Acts 10:34-35

34 Then Peter opened his lips and said, "I see quite plainly that God has no favourites, 35 but that he who reverences Him and lives a good life in any nation is welcomed by Him.

Luke 14:10

10 No, when you are invited, go and recline in the lowest place, so that when your host comes in he will tell you, 'Move higher up, my friend.' Then you will be honoured before your fellow guests.

2 Corinthians 10:12-16

12 I do not venture to class myself or to compare myself with certain exalted individuals! They belong to the class of self-praisers; while I limit myself to my own sphere, I compare myself with my own standard, 13 and so my boasting never goes beyond the limit — it is determined by the limits of the sphere marked out for me by God. That sphere stretches to include yourselves; 14 I am not overstepping the limit, as if you lay beyond my sphere; I was the very first to reach you with the gospel of Christ. 15 I do not boast beyond my limits in a sphere where other men have done the work; my hope rather is that the growth of your faith will allow me to enlarge the range of my appointed sphere 16 and preach the gospel in the lands that lie beyond you, instead of boasting within another's province over work that is already done.

Romans 12:9-11

9 Let your love be a real thing, with a loathing for evil and a bent for what is good. 10 Put affection into your love for the brotherhood; be forward to honour one another; 11 never let your zeal flag; maintain the spiritual glow; serve the Lord;

Romans 2:7-16

7 eternal life to those who by patiently doing good aim at glory, honour, and immortality, 8 but anger and wrath to those who are wilful, who disobey the Truth and obey wickedness — 9 anguish and calamity for every human soul that perpetrates evil, for the Jew first and for the Greek as well, 10 but glory, honour, and peace for everyone who does good, for the Jew first and for the Greek as well. 11 There is no partiality about God. 12 All who sin outside the Law will perish outside the Law, and all who sin under the Law will be condemned by the Law. 13 For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just in the eyes of God, it is those who obey the Law who will be acquitted, 14 [Move vss 14,15 to follow vs 16] (When Gentiles who have no law obey instinctively the Law's requirements, they are a law to themselves, even though they have no law; 15 they exhibit the effect of the Law written on their hearts, their conscience bears them witness, as their moral convictions accuse or it may be defend them.) 16 on the day when God judges the secret things of men, as my gospel holds, by Jesus Christ.

Romans 13:1-7

1 Every subject must obey the government-authorities, for no authority exists apart from God; the existing authorities have been constituted by God. 2 Hence anyone who resists authority is opposing the divine order, and the opposition will bring judgment on themselves. 3 Magistrates are no terror to an honest man, though they are to a bad man. If you want to avoid being alarmed at the government-authorities, lead an honest life and you will be commended for it; 4 the magistrate is God's servant for your benefit. But if you do wrong, you may well be alarmed; a magistrate does not wield the power of the sword for nothing, he is God's servant for the infliction of divine vengeance upon evil-doers. 5 You must be obedient, therefore, not only to avoid the divine vengeance but as a matter of conscience, 6 for the same reason as you pay taxes — since magistrates are God's officers, bent upon the maintenance of order and authority. 7 Pay them all their respective dues, tribute to one, taxes to another, respect to this man, honour to that.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

12 Brothers, we beg you to respect those who are working among you, presiding over you in the Lord and maintaining discipline; 13 hold them in special esteem and affection, for the sake of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

Colossians 3:25

25 for the wrongdoer will be paid back for his wrongdoing — there will be no favour shown.

Romans 13:2

2 Hence anyone who resists authority is opposing the divine order, and the opposition will bring judgment on themselves.

Titus 2:7

7 set them an example of good conduct; be sincere and serious in your teaching,

1 Peter 2:17

Philippians 2:3

3 never acting for private ends or from vanity, but humbly considering each other the better man,

Romans 12:10
