7 Then the Lord God shope man, euen of the mould of the erth, & brethed into his face the breth of lyfe. So man was made a lyuyng soule.
Bible verses about "speaking things into existence" | Matthew
20 Teachyng then to obserue all thynges whatsoeuer I commaunded you, And lo I am with you alwaye, euen vntyll the ende of the worlde.
1 When the fyfty daye was come, they were all with one accorde together in one place. 2 And sodainly there came a sounde from heauen, as it had bene the comynge of a myghty wynd, and it filled al the housse where they sate. 3 And there appeared vnto them clouen tounges, lyke as they had bene fyre, and it sate vpon eche of them, 4 and they were all filled with the holye ghoste, and began to speake wyth other tounges, euen as the spyryte gaue them vtteraunce. 5 And there were dwelling at Hierusalem Iewes, deuout men, whyche were of all nations vnder heauen. 6 When thys was noysed aboute, the multitude came together & were astonied, because that euery man hearde them speake hys owne toung. 7 They wondred all & merueyled sayinge among them selues: Behold are not al these which speake of Galile? 8 And how heare we euery man his own tounge wherin we were borne? 9 Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, and the inhabiters of Mesopotamia, of Iewry, and of Cappadocia, and of Ponthus and Asia, 10 Phrysia, Pamphilia, and of Egypte, and of the parties of Libia, which is besyde Syren, and straungers of Rome, Iewes, and conuertes, 11 Grekes, and Arabians: we haue heard them speake: wyth our owne tounges the great workes of God. 12 They were all amased, and woundered saiynge one to another: what meaneth thys? 13 Other mocked them sayinge: they are full of newe wyne. 14 But Peter stepped forth wyth the eleuen, and lyfte vp his voyce, and sayed vnto them: Ye men of Iewrye, and all ye that inhabite Hierusalem: be thys knowen vnto you, and wyth youre eares heare my wordes. 15 These art not drounke, as ye suppose, for it is yet but the thyrde houre of the day. 16 But thys is that which was spoken by the Prophet Iohel: 17 It shal be in the laste daies saith God, of my spirite: I wil pour out vpon all flesh. And your sonnes and daughters shal prophesie, & your youngmen shal se visions, and your oldmen shall dreame dreames. 18 And on my seruauntes and on my handmaydens, I wyll pour out of my spirite in those dayes, and they shall prophesye. 19 And I wyll shewe wounders in heauen aboue, and tokens in the earth beneth, bloude & fyre, and the vapoure of smoke. 20 The sonne shalbe turned into darckenes, and the mone into bloude, before that greate and notable day of the Lorde come. 21 And it shall be, that whosoeuer shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saued. 22 Ye men of Israel heare these wordes: Iesus of Nazareth, a man approued of God amonge you wyth miracles, woundres, and signes whiche God dyd by hym in the middes of you, as ye your selues knowe: 23 hym haue ye taken by the handes of vnryghtuous persons after he was delyuered by the determinate counsell and for knowledge of God, and haue crucifyed and slayne: 24 whom God hath raysed vp and lowsed the sorowes of deathe, because it was vnpossible that he shoulde be holden of it. 25 For Dauid speaketh of hym afore hand. I sawe the Lorde alwayes before me: For he is on my ryghte hande, that I shoulde not be moued. 26 Therefore dyd my herte reioice, and my tounge was glad. Moreouer also my fleshe shall reste in hope, 27 because thou wylt not leaue my soule in hel, neyther wylte suffer thine holy, to se corruption. 28 Thou hast shewed me the wayes of lyfe, and shalte make me full of ioye, wt thy countenaunce. 29 Men and brethren, let me frely speake vnto you of the patriarche Dauid: For he is both dead and buryed, and hys sepulchre remaineth wyth vs vnto this daye. 30 Therfore seiyng he was a Prophet, and knew that God had sworne wyth an othe to hym, that the fruyte of hys loynes shoulde sit on hys seat (in that Christ shoulde ryse agayne in the flesh) 31 he sawe before: and spake of the resurreccion of Christ, that hys soule shoulde not be lefte in hell: neyther hys fleshe should se corruption. 32 Thys Iesus hath God raised vp wher of we all are witnesses. 33 Sence nowe that he by the ryght hand of God is exalted, and hath receiued of the father the promyse of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth, that whyche ye now se and heare. 34 For Dauid is not ascended into heauen: but he sayd: The Lord said to my Lord, syt on my ryght hande 35 vntyll I make thy fooes thy fote stole. 36 So therefore let all the house of Israell knowe for a surety, that God hath made the same Iesus whom ye haue crucifyed, bothe Lord and Christe. 37 When they hearde this, they were prycked in their hertes, and sayd vnto Peter and vnto the other Apostles. Ye men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Peter sayde vnto them: repent and be baptysed euerye one of you in the name of Iesus Christe for the remission of sinnes, and ye shall receiue the gifte of the holye ghost. 39 For the promyse was made vnto you and to your chyldren, & to all that are a farre, euen as manye as the Lorde oure God shall call. 40 And wyth manye other wordes bare he wytnes and exhorted them saiynge: Saue your selues from thys vntowarde generacion. 41 Then they that gladlye receiued his preachinge, were baptysed, and the same daye there were added vnto them about thre thousande soules. 42 And they continued in the Apostles doctrine and fellowshyppe, and in breakyng of bread, and in praier. 43 And feare came ouer euery soule. And many woundres & signes were shewed by the Apostles. 44 And all that beleued kept them selues together, and had all thinges commen, 45 and solde their possessions and goodes, and departed them to all men as euery man had nede. 46 And they contynued dayly wyth one accorde in the temple and brake bread in euerye house, and dyd eate their meate together, with gladnes and singlenes of her 47 praisynge God, and had fauour wyth all the people: And the Lorde added to the congregacion dayly suche as should be saued.
17 For oure excedynge trybulation whiche is momentanye and lyghte, prepareth an excedynge and eternall wayghte of glory vnto vs,
1 In the begynnynge was the worde, and the word was with God, & the worde was God. 2 The same was in the begynnynge wyth God. 3 All thynges were made by it and without it was made nothynge that was made. 4 In it was lyfe, and the lyfe was the lyght of men, 5 & the lyght shyneth in the darknes, but the darknes comprehended it not. 6 Ther was a man sent from God, whose name was Iohn. 7 These same came as a wytnes to beare wytnes of the lyght, that all men through him myght beleue. 8 He was not that lyght but to beare witnes of the lyght. 9 That was a true lyght, which lyghted all men that come into the worlde. 10 He was in the worlde, & the worlde was made by him, & yet the worlde knewe him not. 11 He came amonge his (owne) & his owne receiued him not. 12 But as manye as receyued him to them he gaue power to be the sonnes of God in that they beleued on his name 13 & which were borne not of the bloude nor of the wyl of the flesh, nor yet of the wyll of man: but of God. 14 And the worde was made flesh & dwelt amonge vs, and we sawe the glorye of it, as the glory of the onlye begotten sonne of the father, which worde was ful of grace & verite. 15 Iohn bare witnes of him & cried saiyng: This was he of whom I spake, he that cometh after me was before me, because he was yer then I. 16 And of his fulnes haue all we receyued, euen (grace) for grace. 17 For the lawe was geuen by Moyses, but grace and truthe came by Iesus Christ. 18 No man hath sene God at anye tyme. The onlye begotten sonne which is in the bosome of the father, he hath declared hym. 19 And this is the recorde of Iohn: When the Iewes sent pryestes and Leuites from Ierusalem, to axe him what arte thou? 20 And he confessed and denied not, and sayd plainlye: I am not Chryste. 21 And they axed hym: what then? Art thou Helias? And he sayed: I am not. Art thou a Prophete? And he aunswered no. 22 Then sayed they vnto him: what art thou? that we may geue an aunswere to them that sent vs? What sayest thou of thy selfe? 23 He sayde: I am the voice of a cryar in the wyldernes, make strayght the waye of the Lorde, as sayde the Prophete Esaias. 24 And they which were sent, were of the pharyseis. 25 And they axed him: and sayd vnto him: why baptysest thou then if thou be not Christ, nor Helias, neyther a Prophete? 26 Iohn aunswered them saiynge: I baptyse with water, but one is come amonge you whom ye knowe not, 27 he it is that cometh after me, which was before me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to vnlose. 28 These thinges were done in Bethabara beyonde Iordaine wher Iohn did baptyse. 29 The nexte daye Iohn sawe Iesus commynge vnto him, and sayde: beholde the lambe of God, which taketh away the synne of the worlde. 30 This is he of whom I sayde. After me cometh a man which was before me, for he was yer then I, 31 and I knowe him not: but that he shoulde be declared to Israel, therfore am I come baptysynge with water. 32 And Iohn bare recorde saiynge: I saw the sprete descende from heauen, lyke vnto a doue, and abide vpon him, 33 and I knewe him not. But he that sent me: to baptyse in water, the same sayde vnto me: vpon whom thou shalt se the sprete descende and tarye styll on him, the same is he, whych baptyseth wyth the holye ghost. 34 And I sawe and beare recorde that this is the sonne of God. 35 The next daye after Iohn stode againe, and two of his disciples. 36 And he behelde Iesus as he walked by, & sayde: beholde the lambe of God. 37 And the .ij. disciples hearde him speake & foloweth Iesus. 38 And Iesus turned aboute and sawe them folowe, and sayde vnto them: what seke ye? They sayde vnto him: Rabbi (which is to saye by interpretacion, Maister) wher dwellest thou? 39 He sayed vnto them: come and se. They came and sawe wher he dwelte: and abode with him the daye. For it was aboute the tenth houre. 40 One of the two which hearde Iohn speake and folowed Iesus, was Andrew Simon Peters brother. 41 The same founde his brother Simon fyrst, and sayde vnto him: we haue founde Messias, which is by interpretation, anointed: 42 and brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him and saide: thou art Simon the sonne of Ionas, thou shalt be called Cephas: which is by interpretacion, a stone. 43 The daye folowinge Iesus woulde go into Galyle, and founde Philip, and saide vnto him: folow me. 44 Philip was of Bethsaida the citye of Andrewe and Peter. 45 And Phylyp founde Nathanaell, and sayde vnto hym. We haue founde hym of whom Moyses in the lawe, and the prophetes did write: Iesus the sonne of Ioseph of Nazareth. 46 And Nathanael said to him: Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saide to him: come and se. 47 Iesus sawe Nathanael comminge to him and sayde of him: Beholde a right Israelyte, in whom is no gyle. 48 Nathanael, saide vnto hym: wher knewest thou me? Iesus aunswered, and sayde vnto him: Before that Philyp called the when thou wast vnder the fygge tree, I sawe the. 49 Nathanael aunswered & sayde vnto him: Rabbi, thou art the sonne of God, thou art the kynge of Israel. 50 Iesus aunswered and sayde vnto him: Because I sayde vnto the: I sawe the vnder the fygge tree, thou beleuest. Thou shalt se greater thinges then these. 51 And he sayed vnto him: Verely verely, I saye vnto you: here after shall ye se heauen open, and the aungels of God ascendinge and descendinge ouer the sonne of man,
6 I haue sayde: ye are Goddes, ye all are the chyldren of the moost hyest.
1 In the begynnynge was the worde, and the word was with God, & the worde was God.
23 Verelye I saye vnto you, that whosoeuer shall saye to thys mountayne: take awaye thy selfe, and caste thy selfe into the sea, and shall not wauer in hys herte, but shall beleue that those thynges whiche he sayeth, shall come to passe, whatsoeuer he sayeth, shalbe done to hym.
6 Iesus sayd vnto hym: I am the waye, the truthe and the lyfe. And no man commeth to the father, but by me.
15 Studye to shewe thy selfe laudable vnto God a workeman that nedeth not to be ashamed dyuydynge the worde of truste iustelye.
1 The hande of the Lord came vpon me, & caryed me out in the sprete of the Lorde, & let me downe in a playne felde that laye full of bones, 2 and he led me rounde aboute by them: & beholde, the bones that laye vpon the felde, were very many, and maruelous drye also. 3 Then sayde he vnto me: Thou sonne of man: thinkest thou these bones maye lyue agayne? I answered: O Lorde God, thou knowest. 4 And he sayde vnto me: prophecye thou vpon these bones, & speake vnto them: Ye drye bones, heare the worde of the Lorde. 5 Thus sayeth the Lorde God vnto these bones: Beholde, I wyll put breth into you, that ye maye lyue: 6 I wyll geue yow synowes, and make flesh grow vpon you, & couer you ouer with skinne: & so geue you breth, that ye may lyue, and knowe, that I am the Lorde. 7 So I prophecyed, as he had commaunded me. And as I was prophecyinge there came a noyse and a greate mocyon, so that the bones ranne euery one to another. 8 Now when I had loked, beholde, they had synowes, and flesh grewe vpon them: and aboue they were couered with skynne, but there was no breth in them. 9 Then sayde he vnto me: Thou sonne of man, prophecye thou towarde the wynde: prophecy, & speake to the wynd: Thus sayeth the Lord God: Come (O thou ayre) from the foure wyndes, and blowe vpon these slayne, that they maye be restored to lyfe. 10 So I prophecied, as he had commaunded me: then came the breth into them, & they receyued lyfe, & stode vp vpon their fete, a maruelous greate sorte.
14 And the worde was made flesh & dwelt amonge vs, and we sawe the glorye of it, as the glory of the onlye begotten sonne of the father, which worde was ful of grace & verite.
25 For it is I the Lorde, that speake it: and whatsoeuer I the Lorde speake, it shall be perfourmed, & not be slacke in commynge. Yea euen in youre dayes (O ye frowarde housholde) wyll I deuyce some thynge, and brynge it to passe, sayeth the Lord God.
28 And vile thinges of the world, and thinges whiche are despysed, hath God chosen, yea and thinges of no reputation for to bringe to nought thinges of reputation,
1 Fayth is a sure confydence of thynges which are hoped for, & a certayntye of thynges which are not sene. 2 By it the elders were wel reported of. 3 Thorow faythe we vnderstande that the worlde was ordeyned by the worde of God: and that thinges whiche are sene, were made of thynges whiche are not sene. 4 By fayth Abel offred vnto God a more plentuous sacrifyce then Cayn: by whiche he obtayned wytnes that he was ryghtuous, God testifiynge of his gyftes: by which also he beynge dead, yet speaketh. 5 By fayth was Enoch translated that he shoulde not se death, neyther was he founde: for God had taken hym away. Before he was taken awaye, he was reported, of, that he had pleased God: 6 but wythout fayth it is vnpossybleto please hym. For he that cometh to God muste beleue that God is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seke hym. 7 By faythe Noe honoured God, after that he was warned of thynges whiche were not sene, and prepared the arcke to the sauynge of hys housholde, thorow the whiche arcke, he condemned the worlde, and became heyre of the rightuousnes that commeth by faythe. 8 By fayth Abraham, when he was called obeyed, to go out into a place, which he shoulde afterward receyue to inherytaunce, and he wente oute not knowynge whyther he should go. 9 By fayth he remoued into the lande that was promysed hym, as into a straunge countreye, and dwelte in tabernacles: and so dyd Isaac and Iacob, heyres wyth hym of the same promes. 10 For he loked for a cytie hauing a foundacyon, whose buylder and maker is God.
17 So then fayth cometh by the worde of God.
8 let not the boke of thys lawe departe out of thy mouthe: But recorde therein daye & night that thou mayest be circumspect to do accordyng to all that is wrytten therein. For then shalt thou make thy waye prosperouse, & then thou shalt haue vnderstandyng.
1 In the beginnynge GOD created heauen and erth. 2 The erth was voyde and empty, and darcknesse was vpon the depe, and the spirite of God moued vpon the water. 3 Than God sayd: let there be light: & there was lyght. 4 And God sawe the lyght that it was good: & deuyded the lyght from the darcknesse, 5 & called the lyght the daye, & the darcknesse the nyght: and so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fyrst daye. 6 And God sayde: let there be a fyrmament betwene the waters, & let it deuyde the waters a sonder. 7 Than God made the fyrmament, and parted the waters whyche were vnder the fyrmament, from the waters that were aboue the fyrmament: And it was so. 8 And God called the fyrmament Heauen. And so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the seconde daye. 9 And God sayde: let the waters that are vnder heauen gather them selues vnto one place, that the drye lande may appere. And it came so to passe. 10 And GOD called the drye lande the erth, and the gatheryng together of waters called he the sea. And God sawe that it was good. 11 And God sayde: let the erth brynge forth herbe and grasse that sowe seed, and fruteful trees, that bere frute euery one in his kynde, hauyng their seed in them selues vpon the erth. And it came so to passe. 12 And the erth brought forth herbe and grasse sowing seed euery one in hys kynde, and trees berynge frute, and hauynge theyr seed in themselues, euery one in hys kynde. And God sawe that it was good, 13 and then of the euenyng and mornyng was made the thyrde daye. 14 Than sayde God: let there be lightes in the fyrmament of heauen, to deuyde the day from the nyght, that they may be vnto sygnes, seasons, dayes and yeares. 15 And let them be lyghtes in the fyrmament of heauen, to shyne vpon the erth: And so it was. 16 And God made two greate lyghtes: A greater lyght to rule the daye, and a lesse lyght to rule the nyght: and he made sterres also. 17 And God put them in the fyrmament of heauen to shyne vpon the erth, 18 and to rule the daye and the nyght: and to deuyde the lyght from darcknesse. And God sawe that it was good: 19 & so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fourth day. 20 And God said: let the water bryng forth creatures that moue and haue lyfe, & foules for to flye ouer the erth vnder the fyrmament of heauen. 21 And God created greate whalles and al maner of creatures that lyue & moue, whych the waters brought forth in their kyndes, & all maner of fethered foules in theyr kyndes. And God sawe that it was good: 22 & God blessed them sayinge: Growe and multyplie and fyll the waters of the seas: and let the foules multyplye vpon the erth. 23 And so of the euening & morning was made the fyfth day. 24 And God sayd: let the erth brynge forth lyuynge creatures in their kyndes: catell and wormes & beastes of the erth in their kyndes, & so it came to passe. 25 And God made the beastes of the erth in their kyndes, and catell in their kyndes, & al maner wormes of the erth in their kyndes: & God saw that it was good. 26 And God sayde: let vs make man in oure similitude & after our lycknesse: that he may haue rule ouer the fysh of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, & ouer catell, and ouer all the erth, and ouer all wormes that crepe on the erth. 27 And God created man after hys likenes, after the lycknesse of god created he hym: male & female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, & God sayde vnto them: Growe and multiplye & fyl the erth, & subdue it, & haue dominion ouer the fyshes of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, and ouer al the beastes that moue on the erth. 29 And God sayde: see, I haue geuen you al herbes that sowe seed, whyche are on all the erth, & all maner trees that haue frute in them and sowe seed: to be meate for you 30 and for al beastes of the erth, and vnto all foules of the ayre, and vnto all that crepeth on the erth, where in is lyfe, that they maye haue all maner herbes and grasse for to eate, and euen so it was. 31 And God behelde all that he had made, and loo, they were exceadinge good: & so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the syxte daye.
17 As it is written: I haue made the a father to manye nacyons, euen before God whome thou haste beleued, whiche quickeneth the deade, and called those thinges whiche be not, as thoughe they were.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye say well, when ye your selues are euil? For of the aboundaunce of the herte, the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of hys herte, bringeth forth good thinges. And an euill man out of his euill treasure, bringeth forth euil thinges. 36 But I say vnto you, that of euery idell worde that men shall haue spoken: they shall geue a countes at the daye of iudgement.
18 whyle we loke not on the thinges whiche are sene, but on the thinges which are not sene. For thynges whiche are sene, are temporall, but thynges whiche are not sene, are eternall.
11 So the worde also that commeth oute of my mouthe shall not turne agayne voyde vnto me, but shall accomplysh my wil & prospere in the thinge, whereto I sende it.
22 And whatsoeuer ye shall axe in prayer (yf ye beleue) ye shall receyue it.
13 Seynge then we haue the same spirite of fayth, accordynge as it is writen: I beleued, & therfor haue I spoken. We also beleue, & therfore speake.
21 Death & lyfe stand in the power of the tong, he that loueth it shal enioy the frute thereof.
22 And Iesus aunswered, and sayed vnto them: Haue confydence in God. 24 Therfore I saye vnto you, whatsoeuer ye desyre when ye praye, beleue that ye shall haue it, and it shall be done vnto you.
