3 I determined also, assone as I had searched out dylygentlye all thinges from the beginning, that then I would write vnto the, good Theophilus:

Colossians 1:16-17

16 For by hym were all thynges created, thinges that are in heauen, and thinges that are in earth: thinges visible and thinges inuisible, whether they be maiestye or Lordeshyp, eyther rule or power. Al thynges are created by hym and in hym, 17 and he is before all thinges, and in hym all thinges haue theyr beynge.

Hebrews 13:7

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22

1 Every thynge hath a tyme, yea all that is vnder the heauen, hath his conuenient season. 2 Their is a tyme to be borne, & a tyme to dye. Ther is tyme to plant, and a time to plucke vp the thing, that is planted. 3 A tyme to slay, and a tyme to make whole. A time to breake down, & a time to bild vp. 4 A time to wepe, and a time to laugh: A time to mourne, and a tyme to daunce: 5 A time to cast away stones, and a tyme to gather stones together: A tyme to enbrace, and a tyme to refrayne from enbrasyng. 6 A time to win, and a tyme to lose: A time to spare, and a tyme to spend: 7 A time to cut in peces, and a time to sowe together: A time to kepe silence, and a time to speake: 8 A tyme to loue, and a tyme to hate: A tyme of war, and time of peace: 9 What hath a man els (that doth any thinge) but werines & labour? 10 For as touchyng the trauayle and carefulnes which God hath geuen vnto men, I se that he hath geuen it them, to be exercised in it. 11 Al this hath he ordeyned maruelous goodly: to euery thing his due tyme He hath planted ignorance also in the hertes of men, that thei shuld not find out the ground of his workes, whiche he doth from the beginning to the end. 12 So I perceiued, that in these thinges their is nothinge better for a man, then to be mery and to do wel so long as he liueth. 13 For al that a man eateth & drinketh, yea whatsoeuer a man enioyeth of al his labour, the same is a gyfte of God. 14 I considered also that whatsoeuer God doth, it continueth for euer, & that no thing can be put vnto it nor taken from it: & that god doth it to the intent, that men shuld feare him. 15 The thing that hath bene, is now: & that thing that is for to come, hath bene afore time, for God restoreth agayne the thynge that was paste. 16 Moreouer, I saw vnder the sunne vngodlyenesse in the steade of iudgemente, and iniquitye in steade of ryghtuousnesse. 17 Then thought I in my mind: God shal separat the rightuous from the vngodly, & then shalbe that time and iudgment of al councels and worckes. 18 I comened with mine own hert also concerning the children of men how God hath chosen them & yet letteth them apeare: as though they were beastes: 19 for it hapeneth vnto men as it doth vnto beastes, & as the one dieth, so dyeth the other: yea, thei haue both one maner of byrth so that (in this) a man hathe no preemynence aboue a beast, but al are subdued vnto vanitie. 20 They go all vnto one place, for as they be all of dust, so shal they all turne vnto dust agayne. 21 Who knoweth the sprete of man that goeth vpwarde, & the breath of the beast that goeth doune into the earth? 22 Wherefore I perceyue, that there is nothing better for a man, then to be ioyfull in his labour, for that is hys porcion. But who will bring him to se the thing that shall come after hym?

Proverbs 24:30-32

30 I went by the felde of the slouthful, and by the vineiarde of the feld of the slouthful and by the vyneyeardes of the folish man. 31 And lo, it was all couered wyth nettels, and stode ful of thistles. and the stone wall was broken doune. 32 Thys I saw, and consydered it well I loked vpon it, and toke it for a warnyng.

Romans 12:2

2 And fashyon not youre selues lyke vnto thys worlde. But be ye chaunged in youre shape, by the renuynge of youre wyttes, that ye may fele what thynge that good, that acceptable, and perfect wyll of God is.

Titus 2:3-5

3 And the elder women lykewyse, that they be in such rayment as becommeth holynes, not false accusars, not geuen to muche drynkynge, but teachers of honest thinges 4 to make the yong women sobre mynded, to loue theyr husbandes, to loue their chyldren, 5 to be dyscret, chast, huswyfly, good & obedyent vnto theyr owne husbandes, that the word of God be not euyl spoken of.

Genesis 1:1-31

1 In the beginnynge GOD created heauen and erth. 2 The erth was voyde and empty, and darcknesse was vpon the depe, and the spirite of God moued vpon the water. 3 Than God sayd: let there be light: & there was lyght. 4 And God sawe the lyght that it was good: & deuyded the lyght from the darcknesse, 5 & called the lyght the daye, & the darcknesse the nyght: and so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fyrst daye. 6 And God sayde: let there be a fyrmament betwene the waters, & let it deuyde the waters a sonder. 7 Than God made the fyrmament, and parted the waters whyche were vnder the fyrmament, from the waters that were aboue the fyrmament: And it was so. 8 And God called the fyrmament Heauen. And so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the seconde daye. 9 And God sayde: let the waters that are vnder heauen gather them selues vnto one place, that the drye lande may appere. And it came so to passe. 10 And GOD called the drye lande the erth, and the gatheryng together of waters called he the sea. And God sawe that it was good. 11 And God sayde: let the erth brynge forth herbe and grasse that sowe seed, and fruteful trees, that bere frute euery one in his kynde, hauyng their seed in them selues vpon the erth. And it came so to passe. 12 And the erth brought forth herbe and grasse sowing seed euery one in hys kynde, and trees berynge frute, and hauynge theyr seed in themselues, euery one in hys kynde. And God sawe that it was good, 13 and then of the euenyng and mornyng was made the thyrde daye. 14 Than sayde God: let there be lightes in the fyrmament of heauen, to deuyde the day from the nyght, that they may be vnto sygnes, seasons, dayes and yeares. 15 And let them be lyghtes in the fyrmament of heauen, to shyne vpon the erth: And so it was. 16 And God made two greate lyghtes: A greater lyght to rule the daye, and a lesse lyght to rule the nyght: and he made sterres also. 17 And God put them in the fyrmament of heauen to shyne vpon the erth, 18 and to rule the daye and the nyght: and to deuyde the lyght from darcknesse. And God sawe that it was good: 19 & so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fourth day. 20 And God said: let the water bryng forth creatures that moue and haue lyfe, & foules for to flye ouer the erth vnder the fyrmament of heauen. 21 And God created greate whalles and al maner of creatures that lyue & moue, whych the waters brought forth in their kyndes, & all maner of fethered foules in theyr kyndes. And God sawe that it was good: 22 & God blessed them sayinge: Growe and multyplie and fyll the waters of the seas: and let the foules multyplye vpon the erth. 23 And so of the euening & morning was made the fyfth day. 24 And God sayd: let the erth brynge forth lyuynge creatures in their kyndes: catell and wormes & beastes of the erth in their kyndes, & so it came to passe. 25 And God made the beastes of the erth in their kyndes, and catell in their kyndes, & al maner wormes of the erth in their kyndes: & God saw that it was good. 26 And God sayde: let vs make man in oure similitude & after our lycknesse: that he may haue rule ouer the fysh of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, & ouer catell, and ouer all the erth, and ouer all wormes that crepe on the erth. 27 And God created man after hys likenes, after the lycknesse of god created he hym: male & female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, & God sayde vnto them: Growe and multiplye & fyl the erth, & subdue it, & haue dominion ouer the fyshes of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, and ouer al the beastes that moue on the erth. 29 And God sayde: see, I haue geuen you al herbes that sowe seed, whyche are on all the erth, & all maner trees that haue frute in them and sowe seed: to be meate for you 30 and for al beastes of the erth, and vnto all foules of the ayre, and vnto all that crepeth on the erth, where in is lyfe, that they maye haue all maner herbes and grasse for to eate, and euen so it was. 31 And God behelde all that he had made, and loo, they were exceadinge good: & so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the syxte daye.
