¹⁶ Then sayde Thomas whiche is called Dydymus, vnto the discyples: Let vs also go, that we maye dye with hym.

¹³ I can do al thinges thorowe the helpe of Christe whiche strengtheth me.

⁹ And he sayde vnto me: my grace is suffycyent for the. For my strengthe is made perfecte thorowe weakenes. Very gladly therfor wil I reioyce of my weakenes, that the strength of Christe maye dwell in me ¹⁰ Therfore haue I delectacyon in infyrmities, in rebukes, in nede, in persecutions, in anguyshe, for Christes sake. For when I am weake, then am I stronge.

²⁸ And feare ye not them which kil the body, and be not able to kill the soule. But rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule & body into hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparowes solde for a farthyng? And none of them doth lyght on the grounde, without your father. ³⁰ And now are all that heires of your heades numbred. ³¹ Feare ye not therfore: ye are of more value then many sparowes. ³² Whosoeuer therfore shall acknowlege me before men, hym will I acknowledge also before my father which is in heauen. ³³ But whosoeuer shall deny me before men, hym will I also deny before my father which is in heauen.

³¹ What shall we then say vnto these thynges? yf God be on oure syde: who can be agaynste vs? ³² whyche spared not his owne sonne but gaue hym for vs all: how shall he not wyth hym geue vs all thynges also? ³³ Who shall laye anye thynge to the charg of Goddes chosen? It is God that iustifieth ³⁴ who then shall condempne? It is Christe whyche is dead, ye rather which is rysen agayne, which is also on the right hande of God, and maketh intercession for vs. ³⁵ Who shall seperate vs from the loue of God shall tribulation? or anguyshe? or persecution? othere honger? other nakednesse? other peryll? other swearde?

⁹ And when he opened the fyft seale, I saw vnder the aulter, the soules of them that were kylled for the word of God, & for the testymonye, whych they had, ¹⁰ and they cryed wyth a loude voyce sayinge: Howe longe tariest thou Lord holy and true, to iudge and to auenge oure bloud on them that dwell on the earth?

¹² Yea and all that wyll lyue Godlye in Christe Iesu, must suffer persecucyons.

¹⁴ If ye be railed vpon for the name of Christ, happie are ye. For the spyryte of glorye, and the spyryte of Gad resteth vpon you. On theyr parte he is euyll spoken of, but on your parte he is glorified. ¹⁵ Se that none of you suffer as a murtherer or as a thefe, or an euil doar, or as a busibody in other mens matters. ¹⁶ Yf any man suffer as a Christen man, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorifie God on this behalfe.
