Jeremiah 4:23

23 I haue loked vpon the earth, and se it is waste, and voyde. I loked toward heauen, and it had no shyne.

Genesis 1:1-11:32

1 In the beginnynge GOD created heauen and erth. 2 The erth was voyde and empty, and darcknesse was vpon the depe, and the spirite of God moued vpon the water. 3 Than God sayd: let there be light: & there was lyght. 4 And God sawe the lyght that it was good: & deuyded the lyght from the darcknesse, 5 & called the lyght the daye, & the darcknesse the nyght: and so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fyrst daye. 6 And God sayde: let there be a fyrmament betwene the waters, & let it deuyde the waters a sonder. 7 Than God made the fyrmament, and parted the waters whyche were vnder the fyrmament, from the waters that were aboue the fyrmament: And it was so. 8 And God called the fyrmament Heauen. And so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the seconde daye. 9 And God sayde: let the waters that are vnder heauen gather them selues vnto one place, that the drye lande may appere. And it came so to passe. 10 And GOD called the drye lande the erth, and the gatheryng together of waters called he the sea. And God sawe that it was good. 11 And God sayde: let the erth brynge forth herbe and grasse that sowe seed, and fruteful trees, that bere frute euery one in his kynde, hauyng their seed in them selues vpon the erth. And it came so to passe. 12 And the erth brought forth herbe and grasse sowing seed euery one in hys kynde, and trees berynge frute, and hauynge theyr seed in themselues, euery one in hys kynde. And God sawe that it was good, 13 and then of the euenyng and mornyng was made the thyrde daye. 14 Than sayde God: let there be lightes in the fyrmament of heauen, to deuyde the day from the nyght, that they may be vnto sygnes, seasons, dayes and yeares. 15 And let them be lyghtes in the fyrmament of heauen, to shyne vpon the erth: And so it was. 16 And God made two greate lyghtes: A greater lyght to rule the daye, and a lesse lyght to rule the nyght: and he made sterres also. 17 And God put them in the fyrmament of heauen to shyne vpon the erth, 18 and to rule the daye and the nyght: and to deuyde the lyght from darcknesse. And God sawe that it was good: 19 & so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fourth day. 20 And God said: let the water bryng forth creatures that moue and haue lyfe, & foules for to flye ouer the erth vnder the fyrmament of heauen. 21 And God created greate whalles and al maner of creatures that lyue & moue, whych the waters brought forth in their kyndes, & all maner of fethered foules in theyr kyndes. And God sawe that it was good: 22 & God blessed them sayinge: Growe and multyplie and fyll the waters of the seas: and let the foules multyplye vpon the erth. 23 And so of the euening & morning was made the fyfth day. 24 And God sayd: let the erth brynge forth lyuynge creatures in their kyndes: catell and wormes & beastes of the erth in their kyndes, & so it came to passe. 25 And God made the beastes of the erth in their kyndes, and catell in their kyndes, & al maner wormes of the erth in their kyndes: & God saw that it was good. 26 And God sayde: let vs make man in oure similitude & after our lycknesse: that he may haue rule ouer the fysh of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, & ouer catell, and ouer all the erth, and ouer all wormes that crepe on the erth. 27 And God created man after hys likenes, after the lycknesse of god created he hym: male & female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, & God sayde vnto them: Growe and multiplye & fyl the erth, & subdue it, & haue dominion ouer the fyshes of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, and ouer al the beastes that moue on the erth. 29 And God sayde: see, I haue geuen you al herbes that sowe seed, whyche are on all the erth, & all maner trees that haue frute in them and sowe seed: to be meate for you 30 and for al beastes of the erth, and vnto all foules of the ayre, and vnto all that crepeth on the erth, where in is lyfe, that they maye haue all maner herbes and grasse for to eate, and euen so it was. 31 And God behelde all that he had made, and loo, they were exceadinge good: & so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the syxte daye.

Genesis 2:1-11:32

1 Thus was heauen and erth fynyshed with all their apparel, 2 and in the seuenth day God ended hys worke whiche he had made, & rested in the seuenth day from al his workes which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seuenth daye, & sanctified it, for in it he rested from al his workes which he had created and made. 4 These are the generacions of heauen and erth when they were created, in the tyme when the Lord God created heauen & erth 5 and all the shrubbes of the felde before they were in the erth. And al the herbes of the felde before they sprange, for the Lord God had yet sent no rayne vpon the erth, nether was there yet any man to tylle the erth. 6 But there arose a myste out of the ground, & watered all the face of the erth: 7 Then the Lord God shope man, euen of the mould of the erth, & brethed into his face the breth of lyfe. So man was made a lyuyng soule. 8 The Lorde God also planted a garden in Eden from the beginning, and there he sette man whom he had formed. 9 And the Lord god made to sprynge out of the erth, all maner trees bewtyfull to the syght and pleasant to eate, and the tree of lyfe in the myddes of the garden: and also the tree of knowledge of good and euell. 10 And there sprange a ryuer out of Eden to water the garden, & thence deuyded it self, & grewe in to foure pryncypall waters. 11 The name of the one is Phison, he it is that compasseth all the lande of Heuyla, 12 where golde groweth. And the golde of that contre is precyous, ther is found Bedellyon, and a stone called Onix. 13 The name of the second ryuer is Gihon, whych compasseth al the lande of Iude. 14 And the name of the thyrde ryuer is Hydekell, whyche runneth on the easte syde of the Assyrians. And the fourth ryuer is Euphrates. 15 And the Lord God toke Adam, & put him in the garden of Eden, to dresse it & to kepe it. 16 And the Lord God commaunded Adam saying: Of all the trees of the garden se thou eate: 17 But of the tree of knowledge of good & bad se that thou eate not: For euen the same daye thou eatest of it thou shalt dye the dethe. 18 And the Lorde God sayde: It is not good that man should be alone, I wyll make hym an helper to beare hym company. 19 And after that the Lorde God had made of the erth al maner beastes of the felde, and all maner foules of the ayre, he brought them vnto Adam to se what he wolde call them. And as Adam called al maner lyuyng beastes, euen so are their names. 20 And Adam gaue names vnto al maner catell, and vnto the foules of the ayre and vnto all maner beastes of the felde. But ther was no helpe founde vnto Adam to beare hym company. 21 Then the Lord god cast a slomber on Adam, and he slepte. And then he toke out one of his ribbes, & in stede ther of he filled vp the place wt flesh. 22 And the lord God made of the ribbe whych he toke out of Adam a woman: and brought her vnto Adam. 23 Then sayde Adam: This is once bone of my bones, & flesh of my flesh. This shal be called woman: because she was take of the man. 24 For this cause shal a man leue father & mother, & cleue vnto hys wyfe, & they shal be one flesh. 25 And they were ether of them naked, bothe Adam & his wyfe, and were not ashamed.

Genesis 3:1-11:32

1 Bvt the serpent was sutyller than al the beastes of the felde, whych the Lord God had made: & sayd vnto the woman: yea hath God sayd in dede, ye shall not eate of al maner trees in the garden? 2 And the woman sayd vnto the serpent, of the frute of the trees in the garden we may eate, 3 but of the frute of the tree that is in the myddes of the garden (sayd God) se that ye eate not, & se that ye touch it not, lest ye dye. 4 Then sayd the serpent vnto the woman: tush ye shal not dye: 5 but god doth know that when so euer ye should eate of it, your eyes should be opened, & ye should be as god, & know both good & euel. 6 And the woman saw that it was a good tree to eate of, and lusty vnto the eies, & a pleasant tree forto geue vnderstandynge. And toke of the frute of it & ate, & gaue vnto her husband also wt her, & he ate. 7 And the eyes of bothe them were opened, that they vnderstode howe that they were naked. Than they sowed figge leues together and made them apurns. 8 And they herd the voyce of the Lord God as he walked in the garden in the coole of the daye. And Adam hyd hym self and his wyfe also from the face of the Lorde God, among the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lorde God called Adam, and sayd vnto hym: where art thou? 10 And he answered: Thy voyce I heard in the garden, but I was afrayed, because I was naked, and therfore hyd my selfe. 11 And he sayde: Who tolde the that thou wast naked? hast thou eaten of the tree, of whyche I bade the that thou shuldest not eate? 12 And Adam answered: The woman whych thou gauest to bere me company she toke me of the tree, and I ate. 13 And the Lorde God sayd vnto the woman: Wherfore dydest thou so? And the woman answered: The serpent deceyued me and I ate. 14 And the Lord God sayd vnto the serpent: because thou haste so done moste curssed be thou of all catell and of al beastes of the felde: vpon thy beely shalt thou go: and erth shalt thou eate all dayes of thy lyfe. 15 Moreouer, I wyll put hatred betwene the & the woman, & betwene thy seed and her seed. And that seed shall tread the on thy heed, and thou shalt treade it on the hele. 16 And vnto the woman he said: I wyl suerly encrease thy sorow, and make the oft with chylde, & with payne shalt thou be deliuered: And thy lustes shall pertayne vnto thy husband, and he shal rule the. 17 And vnto Adam he sayd: For as moch as thou hast obeyed the voyce of thy wyfe, and hast eaten of the tree of which I commaunded the, sayinge: Se thou eate not therof: curssed be the erth for thy sake. In sorow shalt thou eate therof all dayes of thy lyfe: 18 And it shall beare thornes & thystels vnto the. And thou shalt eate the herbes of the feld. 19 In the swete of thy face shalt thou eate brede, vntyll thou returne vnto the erth whence thou wast taken: for erth thou art, & vnto erth shalt thou returne. 20 And Adam called his wyfe Heua, because she was the mother of al that liueth. 21 And the Lord God made Adam & his wyfe garmentes of skynnes, and put them on them. 22 And the Lorde God sayd: Loo, Adam is become as it were one of vs, in knowledge of good and euell. But now lest he strech forth hys hande and take also of the tree of lyfe, & eate & lyue euer. 23 And the Lord God cast hym out of the garden of Eden, to tylle the erth whence he was taken. 24 And he cast Adam out, & sette at the enterynge of the garden Eden, Cherubin with a naked swerde mouynge in and out, to kepe the way to the tree of lyfe.

Genesis 4:1-11:32

1 And Adam laye wt Heua his wyfe, whiche conceyued & bare Cayn, & sayde: I haue goten a man of the Lord. 2 And she proceded forth and bare hys brother Abell: and Abell became a shepherde, and Cayn became a plowman. 3 And it fortuned in processe of tyme, that Cayn brought of the fruite of the erth, an offerynge vnto the Lorde. 4 And Abell he brought also of the fyrstlynges of hys shepe, & of the fatt of them. And the Lord loked vnto Abel and to hys offrynge, 5 but vnto Cayn & vnto hys offrynge loked he not. And Cayn was wroth exceadyngly, & loured. 6 And the Lorde sayd vnto Cayn: why art thou angry, & why lourest thou? Wotest thou not yf thou dost well thou shalt receyue it? 7 But and yf thou dost euell, by & by thy synne lyeth open in the dore. Notwithstandyng let it be subdued vnto the, and sea thou rule it. 8 And Cayn talked with Abel hys brother. And as soone as they were in the feldes, Cayn fell vpon Abell hys brother, & slewe hym. 9 And the Lorde sayd vnto Cayn: where is Abel thy brother? And he sayde: I can not tell, am I my brothers keper? 10 And he sayde: What hast thou done? The voyce of thy brothers bloude cryeth vnto me oute of the erth. 11 And now curssed be thou as pertaining to the erth, whyche opened her mouth to receyue thy brothers bloude of thyne hande. 12 For when thou tyllest the grounde she shall henceforth not geue her power vnto the. A vagabunde and a rennagate shalt thou be vpon the erth. 13 And Cayn sayd vnto the Lorde: my synne is greater, then that it may be forgeuen. 14 Beholde thou castest me out thys daye from the face of the erth, & from thy syghte must I hyde myself, & I must be wandrynge and a vagabunde vpon the erth: Moreouer whosoeuer fyndeth me, wyl kyl me. 15 And the Lorde sayd vnto him: Not so, but whosoeuer sleith Cayn shalbe punisshed .vij. folde. And the Lord put a marke vpon Cayn that no man that founde hym should kyl him. 16 And Cayn went out from the face of the Lorde, and dwelt in the lande Nod, on the east syde of Eden. 17 And Cayn laye wyth his wyf, which conceyued & bare Henoch. And he was buylding a cyte, & called the name of it after the name of hys sonne, Henoch. 18 And Henoch begat Irad. And Irad begat Mahuiael. And Mahuiael begat Mathusael. And Mathusael begat Lamech. 19 And Lamech toke him two wyues: the one is called Ada, & the other Zilla. 20 And Ada bare Iaball, of whome came they that dwell in tentes, & possesse catell. 21 And his brothers name was Iubal, of hym came all that exercyse them selues on the harpe & on the organs. 22 And Zilla she also bare Tubalcayn a worker in metal & a father of all that graue in brasse & yeron. And Tubalcayns syster was called Naema. 23 Then sayde Lamech vnto his wyues Ada & Zilla: heare my voice ye wiues of Lamech & herken vnto my wordes, for I haue slayne a man & wounded my self, & haue slayn a yong man, & gotte my self strypes: 24 for Cayn shall be auenged seuenfolde, but Lamech seuentye tymes seuenfolde. 25 Adam also laye wyth hys wyfe yet agayne, & she bare a sonne & called his name Seth. For God (sayd she) hath geuen me another sonne for Abel whom Cayn slewe. 26 And Seth begat a sonne, & called hys name Enos. And in that tyme began men to cal on the name of the Lord.

Genesis 5:1-11:32

1 This is the boke of the generacion of man. In the daye when God created man & made hym after the similitude of God. 2 Male & female made he them, & called their names man, in the day when they were created. 3 And when Adam was an hundred & thyrty yere olde, he begat a sonne after hys sycknesse and similitude: & called his name Seth. 4 And the dayes of Adam after he begat Seth, were eyght hundred yere, and begat sonnes & daughters. 5 And al the dayes of Adam which he lyued, were .ix. hundred & .xxx. yere, and then he dyed. 6 And Seth lyued an hundred & .v. yeres, & begat Enos. 7 And after he had begat Enos he liued .viij. hundred & .vij. yere, & begat sonnes & daughters. 8 And all the dayes of Seth were .ix. hundred & .xij. yere, and dyed. 9 And Enos lyued .lxxx. yere, & begat Kenan. 10 And Enos after he begat Kenan, liued .viij. hundred & .xv. yere, and begat sonnes & daughters: 11 & al the dayes of Enos were .ix. hundred & .v. yere, & than he dyed. 12 And Kenan lyued .lxx. yere, & begat Mahalaliel. 13 And Kenan after he had begat Mahalaliel, lyued .viij. hundred and .xl. yere, & begat sonnes and daughters: 14 & al the dayes of Kenan were .ix. hundred & .x. yere, and than he dyed. 15 And Mahalaliel liued .lxv. yere, 16 & begat Iared. And Mahalaliel after he had begat Iared lyued .viij. hundred & .xxx. yeres, & begat sonnes and daughters: 17 and al the dayes of Mahalaliel were .viij. hundred nynetye and .v. yere, and than he dyed. 18 And Iared liued an hundred & .lxij. yere, & begat Henoch: 19 & Iared lyued after he begat Henoch .viij. hundred yere, & begat sonnes & daughters. 20 And all the dayes of Iared were .ix. hundred & .lxij. yere, and than he dyed. 21 And Henoch lyued .lxv. yere, & begat Mathusala. 22 And Henoch walked wyth God after he had begat Mathusala .iij. hundred yere, & begat sonnes & daughters, 23 And al the dayes of Henoch were .iij. hundred & .lxv. yere, 24 & than Henoch liued a godly lyfe, and was no more sene, for God toke hym awaye. 25 And Mathusala lyued an hundred and .lxxxvij. yere & begat Lamech: 26 & Mathusala after he had begat Lamech, lyued .vij. hundred & .lxxxij. yere, & begat sonnes and daughters. 27 And all the dayes of Mathusala were .ix. hundred .lxix. yere, and than he dyed. 28 And Lamech lyued an hundred .lxxxij. yere & begat a sonne, 29 & called hym Noe, sayinge: Thys same shal comforte vs: as concerning our worke & sorowe of oure handes whyche we haue about the erth that the Lorde hath curssed: 30 and Lamech liued after he had begat Noe .v. hundred, nynetye & .v. yere, and begat sonnes & daughters. 31 And al the dayes of Lamech were .vij. hundred .lxxvij. yere, & than he dyed. 32 And when Noe was fyue hundred yere old, he begat Sem, Ham, & Iapheth.

Genesis 6:1-11:32

1 And it came to passe, whan men began to multyply vpon the erth, & had begat them daughters, 2 that sonnes of god saw the daughters of men that they were fayre, and toke vnto them wyues, which they best lyked among them all. 3 And the Lorde sayde: My spirite shall not alway striue wyth man, for they are flesh. Neuerthelesse I wyl geue them yet space, an .C. & .xx. yeres. 4 There were tyrantes in the world in those dayes. For after that the chyldren of god had gone in, vnto the daughters of men, & had begotten them chyldren, the same chyldren were the mightiest of the world, & men of renowne. 5 And whan the Lord saw that the wekednesse of man was encreased vpon the erth, & that al the ymaginacion & thoughtes of his hert was only euell contynually, 6 he repented that he had made man vpon the erth, and sorowed in his hert. 7 And sayd: I wyl destroy mankynde whych I haue made, from of the face of the erth: both man, beast, worme and foule of the ayre, for it repenteth me that I haue made them. 8 But yet Noe founde grace in the syght of the Lord. 9 These are the generacions of Noe. Noe was a ryghteous man & vncorrupte in hys tyme, & walked wt God. 10 And Noe begat .iij. sonnes: Sem, Ham, & Iapheth. 11 And the erth was corrupt in the syght of God, & was full of mischefe. 12 And God loked vpon the erth, & lo it was corrupte: for all flesh had corrupte hys way vpon the erth. 13 Than sayde God to Noe: the ende of all flesh is come before me, for the erth is full of their myschefe. And lo, I wyl destroye them with the erth. 14 Make the an arcke of pyne tree, and make chaumbers in the arcke, and pitch it wythin & without wyth pytch. 15 And of this facyon shalt thou make it. The length of the arcke shall be .iij. hundred cubytes, & the bredth of it .l. cubytes, & the hyeth of it .xxx. cubytes. 16 A wyndow shalt thou make aboue in the arcke. And within a cubyte compasse shalt thou fynysh it. And the dore of the arcke shalt thou sette in the syde of it: & thou shalt make it with .iij. loftes one aboue another. 17 For behold, I wyll bryng in a floud of water vpon the erth to destroye al flesh from vnder heauen, wherin breth of lyf is: so that all that is in the erth shal perysh. 18 But I wyl make myne apoyntement wt the, that both thou shalt come into the arcke and thy sonnes, thy wyfe & thy sonnes wyues wt the. 19 And of all that lyueth what so euer flesh it be, shalt thou brynge into the arcke, of euery thyng a payre, to kepe them a lyue wyth the. And male & female se that they be, 20 of byrdes in their kynde, & of beastes in theyr kynde, & of all maner of wormes of the erth in theyr kynde: a payre of euery thynge shal come vnto the to kepe them a lyue. 21 And take vnto the of all maner of meate that may be eaten and laye it vp in stoore by the, that it maye be meate bothe for the and for them: 22 and Noe dyd acordyng to all that God commaunded him.

Genesis 7:1-11:32

1 And the Lorde said vnto Noe: Go in to the arcke bothe thou and all thy houshold. For the haue I sene ryghteous before me in this generacyon. 2 Of all clene beastes take vnto the seuen of euery kynde, the male and female, & of vnclene beastes a payre, the male & his female: 3 lykewyse of the byrdes of the ayre seuen of euery kynde, male and female to saue seed vpon all the erth. 4 For seuen dayes hence wil I sende rayne vpon the erth .xl. dayes and .xl. nyghtes, and wyll destroy al maner of thynges that I haue made, from of the face of the erth. 5 And Noe dyd accordynge to all that the Lorde commaunded hym: 6 and Noe was .vi. hundred yere olde, when the floud of water came vpon the erth: 7 and Noe went and hys sonnes and his wyfe & his sonnes wyues wt him, into the arcke from the water of the floud. 8 And of clene beastes & of the beastes that ware vnclene, & of byrdes and of al that crepeth vpon the erth, 9 came in by cooples of euery kynde vnto Noe into the arcke, a male & a female: euen as god commaunded Noe. 10 And the seuenth day the waters of the floude came vpon the erth. 11 In the .vi. hundred yere of Noes lyfe, in the seconde moneth, in the .xvij. daye of the moneth, that same day were al the founteynes of the great depe broken vp, & the wyndowes of heauen were opened, 12 & there fel a rayne vpon the erth .xl. dayes & .xl. nyghtes. 13 And the selfe same daye went Noe, Sem, Ham & Iapheth, Noes sonnes, & Noes wyf & the .iij. wyues of hys sonnes with them in to the arcke: 14 bothe they & al maner of beastes in theyr kynde, and all maner of catell in their kynd, & al maner of wormes that crepe vpon the erth in their kynde, & al maner of byrdes in there kynde, & all maner of foules what soeuer had feders. 15 And they came vnto Noe into the arcke by couples, of al flesh that had breth of lyfe in it. 16 And they that came, came male & female of euery flesh acordyng as God commaunded him: & the Lorde shut the dore vpon hym. 17 And the floud came .xl. dayes and .xl. nyghtes vpon the erth, & the water increased & bare vp the arcke, & it was lyfte vp from of the erth. 18 And the water preuayled & increased exceadingly vpon the erth: & the arcke went vpon the toppe of the waters. 19 And the waters preuailed excedingly aboue mesure vpon the erth, so that all the hye hylles whych are vnder all the partes of heauen were couered 20 euen .xv. cubytes hye preuayled the waters, so that the hylles were couered. 21 And all flesh that moued on the erth, both birdes, catell and beastes perysshed, with al that crepte on the erth and al men: 22 so that al that had the breth of lyfe in the nostrels of it thorow out all that was on drye lande, dyed. 23 Thus was destroyed al that was vpon the erth, both man, beastes, wormes and foules of the ayre, so that they were destroyed from the erth: saue Noe was reserued onlye and they that were with him in the arck. 24 And the waters preuayled vpon the erth an hundred and .l. dayes.

Genesis 8:1-11:32

1 And God remembred Noe & al the beastes & al the catel that were with him in the arck. And God made a wynde to blowe vpon the erth, & the waters ceased: 2 & the fountaynes of the depe & the wyndowes of heauen were stopte, & the rayne of heauen was forbydden, 3 & the waters returned from of the erth, & abated after the end of an hundred and .l. dayes. 4 And the arcke rested vpon the mountains of Ararat, the .xvij. daye of the .vij. moneth. 5 And the waters went awaye, & decreased vntyll the .x. moneth. And the fyrst day of the .x. moneth, the toppes of the mounteyns appered. 6 And after the ende of .xl. dayes Noe opened the window of the arck which he had made, 7 and sent forth a rauen, which went out, euer goynge & commynge agayne, vntyl the waters were dryed vp vpon the earth. 8 Then sent he forth a doue from him, to wete whether the waters were fallen from of the earth. 9 And when the doue could finde no restyng place for hyr fote, she returned to him agayne vnto the arcke, for the waters were vpon the face of al the earth. And he put out hys hande, and toke hyr, and pulled hyr to hym into the Arcke. 10 And he abode yet seuen daies more, & sent out the doue agayne oute of the arcke, 11 & the doue came to him agayne about euentyde, & beholde, there was in hyr mouth a lefe of an olyue tre whyche she had plucked: whereby Noe perceiued that the waters were abated vpon the earth. 12 And he taried yet seuen other dayes, and sent forth the doue, whyche from thence forth came no more agayne to hym. 13 And it came to passe, the sixe hundred and one yere & the fyrst day of the fyrste moneth, that the waters were dried vp vpon the earth. And Noe toke of the hatches of the arcke, & loked: and beholde, the face of the earth was drye. 14 So by the .xxvij. day of the second moneth the earth was drye. 15 And God spake vnto Noe, saying. 16 Come out of the arcke, boeth thou & thy wyfe & thy sons & thy sonnes wyues with the. 17 And al the beastes that are wt the whatsoeuer fleshe it be, both foule & catel, & all maner wormes that crepe on the earth bringe oute wyth the & let them moue, grow & multiply vpon the erth. 18 And Noe came out, & hys sonnes, & his wyfe, and hys sonnes wiues wyth him. 19 And all the beastes, and all the wormes, and all the foules and all that moued vpon the erth, came also out of the arcke, all of one kynde togyther. 20 And Noe made an aulter vnto the Lord, & toke of all maner of cleane beastes, & all maner of clene foules, & offred sacrifice vpon the aultare. 21 And the Lorde smelled a swete sauour, & sayd in his hert: I wyll henceforth no more cursse the earthe for mans sake, for the imagination of mans herte is euyll, euen from the very youth of him. Moreouer I wyl not destroy from henceforthe all that lyueth as I haue done. 22 Neyther shal sowynge time and heruest, cold and hete, somer, and wynter, daye and nyghte ceasse, as longe as the earth endureth.

Genesis 9:1-11:32

1 And God blessed Noe & hys sonnes, and said vnto them: Encreace & multiply and fyll the earth. 2 The feare also & dreade of you be vpon all beastes of the earthe, and vppon all foules of the ayre, & vpon al that crepeth on the earth, and vpon all fyshes of the sea, whych are geuen vnto your handes. 3 And all that moueth vpon the earth hauynge lyfe, shall be your meat: Euen as the grene herbes so giue I you al thinge. 4 Onely the flesh with his lyfe whych is his bloude se that you eate not. 5 For verily the bloude of you wherin youre lyues are wyl I require: Euen of the hand of all beastes wyll I requyre it, and of the hande of man and of the hand of euerye mannes brother wyll I requyre the lyfe of man: 6 so that he whych sheadeth mans bloud shal haue his bloud shed by man againe: for God made man after hys owne lykenesse. 7 Se that ye encrease, and waxe, and be occupied vpon the earth, & multiply therin. 8 Furthermore God spake vnto Noe & to hys sonnes with him, sayinge: 9 See, I make my bond with you & your seed after you, 10 & wyth all lyuynge thynge that is wyth you: both foule & cattel, & al maner beastes of the earth that is with you, of al that commeth out of the arcke, whatsoeuer beast of the earth it be. 11 I make my bonde wyth you, that hence forth all fleshe shal not be destroied with the waters of any floud, & that hence forth there shall not be a floud to destroy the earth. 12 And God sayd: This is the token of my bond which I make betwene me and you, & betwene all lyuyng thyng that is wyth you foreuer: 13 I wyll set my bowe in the cloudes, & it shall be a sygne of the appointment made betwene me & the earth: 14 so that when I bring in cloudes vpon the earth, the bowe shal appere in the cloudes. 15 And then wyll I thinke vpon my testament whych I haue made betwene me and you, and all that lyueth whatsoeuer fleshe it be. So that henceforth there shall be no more waters to make a floude to destroy all fleshe. 16 The bowe shal be in the cloudes, & I wil loke vpon it, to remembre the euerlastynge testament betwene God & all that lyueth vpon the earth, whatsoeuer fleshe it be. 17 And God sayed vnto Noe: Thys is the sygne of the testament which I haue made betwene me and all fleshe that is on the earth. 18 The sonnes of Noe that came oute of the arcke were: Sem, Ham and Iapheth. And Ham he is the father of Canaan. 19 These are the thre sonnes of Noe, and of these was all the world ouerspreade. 20 And Noe beynge an husband man, went forth & planted a vineyarde, 21 & dranke of the wyne & was droncke, and lay vncouered in the middest of hys tent. 22 And Ham the father of Canaan sawe hys fathers priueties, and told hys .ij. brethren that were without. 23 And Sem and Iapheth toke a mantyll, & put it on boeth theyr shoulders and went bacward, & couered theyr fathers secretes, but theyr faces were backewarde, so that they sawe not theyr fathers nakednes. 24 As sone as Noe was awaked frome hys wyne, & wyste what hys yongest sonne had done vnto him, 25 he said: Cursed be Canaan, & a seruant of al seruantes be he to hys brethren. 26 And he sayed: Blessed be the Lorde God of Sem, & Canaan be his seruant. 27 God encrease Iapheth, that he maye dwel in the tentes of Sem. And Canan be theyr seruant. 28 And Noe lyued after the floud thre hundred and fyfty yere: 29 so that all the dayes of Noe were .ix. hundred & fyfty yere & then he died.

And the sonnes of Rayma were: Sheba, & Dedan. 8 Thus also begat Nemrod which began to be myghty in the earth. 9 He was a myghty hunter in the syghte of the Lorde: Wherof came the prouerbe: he is as Nemrod that myghty hunter in the syght of the Lord. 10 And the begynnyng of hys kyngdome was Babell, Erech, Achad, & Chalne in the lande of Synear: 11 Oute of that land came Assur, & builded Niniue, & the citye Rehoboth, & Calah, 12 and Ressen betwene Niniue & Calah. That is a greate cytye. 13 And Mizrim begat Ludim, Enamim, Leabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, & Casluhim: from whence came the Philystyns, and the Capththerynes. 15 Canaan also begat Zidon hys eldest sonne & Heth, 16 Iebusi, Emori, Girgosi, 17 Him, Arki. Sini, 18 Aruadi, Zemari, & Harmati. And afterward sprange the kinreds of the Cananites. 19 And the costes of the Cananites were from Sydon tyll thou come to Gerara & to Asa, & tyl thou come to Sodoma, Gomorra, Adama, Zeboim, euen vnto Lasa. 20 These were the chyldren of Ham in theyr kynredes, tonges, Landes, and nations. 21 And Sem the father of all the chyldren of Eber, & the eldeste brother of Iapheth begat children also. 22 And his sonnes were Elam, Assur, Arphachsad, Lud & Aram. 23 And the children of Aram were: Vr, Hul, Gether & Mas. 24 And Arphachsad begat Sala, & Sala begat Eber. 25 And Eber begat two sonnes. Al these are tho sonnes of Iaketan. 30 And the dwellynge of them was from Mesa vntyl thou come vnto Sephara a mountayne of the east lande. 31 These are the sonnes of Sem in their kinredes, languages, contryes, and nations. 32 These are the kinredes of the sonnes of Noe, in their generations & nations. And of these came the People that were in the worlde after the floude.

Genesis 11:1-32

1 And all the worlde was of one tonge and one language. 2 And as they came from the Easte, they found a playne in the lande of Sinear, and ther they dwelled, 3 and they sayed one to an other: come on, lette vs make brycke and burne it with fire. So brycke was theyr stone, and slyme was theyr morter. 4 And they sayed come on, let vs builde a citye & a tower, that the toppe may reach vnto heuen. And let vs make vs a name for peraduenture we shall be scatered abrod ouer al the erth. 5 And the Lord came downe to se the city and the tower which the children of Adam had builded. 6 And the Lorde sayed: See, the people is one, and haue one tonge amonge them all. And thys haue they begon to do, and wyll not leaue of frome all that they haue purposed to do. 7 Come on, let vs descende, and myngle theyr tonge euen there, that one vnderstande not what another sayeth. 8 Thus the Lorde skattered them from thence vpon all the earth. And they left of to builde the city. 9 Wherefore the name of it is called Babell, bycause that the Lorde there confounded the tonge of al the world. And bicause that the Lorde from thence scatered them abrode vpon all the earth. 10 These are the generations of Sem: Sem was an hundred yere old, & begat Arphachsad .ij. yere after the flode. 11 And Sem lyued after he hadde begat Arphachsad .v. hundred yere and begat sonnes and doughters. 12 And Arphachsad lyued .xxxv. yere & begat Sala, 13 & lyued after he hadde begat Sala .iiij. hundred yere & .iij. & begat sonnes & daughters. 14 And Sala was thirty yere olde & begat Eber, 15 and lyued after he had begot Eber .iiij. hundred & .iij. yere, & begat sonnes & daughters. 16 When Eber was .xxxiiij. yere old, he begat Peleg, 17 & lyued after he had begat Peleg foure hundred and .xxx. yere, & begat sonnes and doughters. 18 And Peleg when he was .xxx. yere old begat Regu, 19 & lyued after he had begot Regu .ij. hundred & .ix. yere, & begat sonnes & daughters. 20 And Regu when he had liued .xxxij. yere begat Serug, 21 and lyued after he had begot Serug .ii. hundred and .vij. yeare, and begat sonnes and daughters. 22 And when Serug was .xxx. yere olde, he begat Nahor, 23 & liued after he had begat Nahor .ij. hundred yere, & begat sonnes & daughters. 24 And Nahor when he was .xxix. yere old, begat Terah, 25 and lyued after he had begat Terah, an hundred and .xix. yeare and begat sonnes and doughters. 26 And when Terah was .lxx. yere old, he begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran. 27 And these are the generations of Terah. Terah begatte Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran begat Lot. 28 And Haran dyed before Terah hys father in the Land where he was borne, at Or in Chaldea. 29 And Abram and Nahor toke them wyues. Abrams wyfe was called Sarai. And Nahors wyfe Mylca, the doughter of Haran whyche was father of Milca, & of Iesca. 30 But Sarai was baren, and had no chylde. 31 Then toke Terah Abram hys sonne, & Lot hys sonne, Harans sonne, & Sarai hys daughter in lawe, hys sonne Abrams wyfe. And they went wyth him from Or in Chaldea, to goo into the Lande of Canaan. And they came to Haran and dwelled there. 32 And when Terah was two hundred yere olde and fyue, he dyed in Haran.

Colossians 1:16

16 For by hym were all thynges created, thinges that are in heauen, and thinges that are in earth: thinges visible and thinges inuisible, whether they be maiestye or Lordeshyp, eyther rule or power. Al thynges are created by hym and in hym,

Genesis 2:1-25

Hebrews 11:3

3 Thorow faythe we vnderstande that the worlde was ordeyned by the worde of God: and that thinges whiche are sene, were made of thynges whiche are not sene.

Isaiah 45:12

12 I haue made the earth, & created man vpon it. Wyth myne handes haue I spred forth heauen, and geuen a commaundment for all the Host therof.

Genesis 1:1-31
