¹⁶ If a man begyle a mayde that is not betrouthed and lie with her, he shall endote her and take her to his wyfe: ¹⁷ If hir father refuse to geue her vnto hym, he shall paye moneye accordynge to the dowrye of virgyns.

⁹ I say therfore vnto you, whosoeuer putteth awaye hys wyfe, (except it he for fornicacion) & marieth another, breaketh wedloke. And whosoeuer maryeth her, which is diuorced, doth commit aduoutry.

²⁰ And he sayde that defileth a man, whiche cometh out of a man. ²¹ For from within, euen out of the herte of men, procede euel thoughtes: aduoutry, fornication, murther, ²² theft, coueteousnes, wickednes, deceyte: vncleanenesse and a wicked eye, blasphemy, pryde, folishenes: ²³ all these euell thinges come from within and defile a man.

⁹ Do ye not remembre, howe that the vnrightuous shall not inheret the kyngdome of God? Be not deceyued. For neither fornicatours, neither worshipers of ymages, neither whormongers, neyther weaklinges, neither abusers of them selues wyth the mankynde, ¹⁰ neither theues, neythe couetous, neither dronkardes, neither cursed speakers, neither pyllars, shall inherete the kyngedome of God. ¹¹ And suche were ye verelye, but ye are washed, ye are sanctifyed, ye are iustifyed by the name of the Lorde Iesus, and by the spyryte of our God.

¹ There goeth a commen, saiynge: that there is fornicacion amonge you, and such fornication as is not ones named amonge the Gentiles: that one should haue his fathers wyfe.

¹³ Meates are ordeyned for the belly, and the belly for meates, but God shall destroye both it and them. Let not the bodye be applied vnto fornication, but vnto the Lorde, and the Lorde vnto the body.

³ For this is the will of God, euen that ye shoulde be holy, and that ye shoulde abstayne from fornicacion, ⁴ that euerye one of you should know, howe to kepe his vessell in holynes and honoure,

³ So that fornicacion and vncleanes, or couetousnes be not ones named amonge you, as it becommeth sainctes:

⁵ Mortifie therfore, youre members whiche are on the earth, fornicacion, vnclenes, vnnatural, lust euil concupiscence, and couetousnesse, which is worshippinge of Idolles,

⁷ euen as Sodome and Gomor, and the cytyes about them (which in lyke maner defyled them selues with fornicacyon, and folowed straunge fleshe) are sette forth for an ensample, and suffer the vengeaunce of eternal fyre.

³² But I sai vnto you: whosoeuer putteth away his wife (except it be for fornicacion) causeth her to breke matrimony. And whosoeuer marieth her that is deuorced, breaketh wedlocke.

¹⁸ Fle fornycatyon. Al synnes that a man doth, are without the body. But he that is a fornicatour, sinneth agaynst his owne bodye.

¹³ There hath none other temptacion taken you, but suche as foloweth the nature of man. But God is faythful whiche shall not suffre you to be tempted aboue your strength: but shall in the middest of the temptacion make a waye to escape out.

⁸ But the fearful and vnbeleuing, & the abhominable, & murtherers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers, & ydolaters, & al lyars shall haue their parte in the lake which burneth wt fyre & brymstone, which is the seconde death.

⁴¹ ye do the dedes of your father. Then sayde they to him: we were not borne of fornicion. We haue one father, whiche is God. ⁴² Iesus sayde vnto them: yf God were youre father, then woulde ye loue me. For I proceaded forth, and come from God. Neyther came I of my selfe, but he sente me.

¹⁹ The dedes of the flesh are manyfeste, which are these aduoutrye, fornicacyon, vncleannes, wantonnes, ²⁰ Idolatrye wytchecrafte, hatred, varyaunce, zele, wrathe stryfe, sedityon, sectes, ²¹ enuiynge, murther, drounkennes, glottonye, and suche lyke: of the whiche I tell you before, as I haue tolde you in tymes past, that they whiche commytte suche thynges shall not enheryte the kingdome of God.

² Neuerthelesse to avoide fornication, let euery man haue his wyfe: and let euerye woman haue her husbande.

⁴ Let wedlocke be had in pryce in all poyntes, and let the chambre be vndefyled: for whorekepers and aduouterers God wyll iudge.

¹⁸ Fle fornycatyon. Al synnes that a man doth, are without the body. But he that is a fornicatour, sinneth agaynst his owne bodye. ¹⁹ Either knowe ye not howe that youre bodies are the temple of the holye ghoste, whyche is in you, whome ye haue of God, and how that ye are not your owne? ²⁰ For ye are dearlye boughte. Therfore glorifye ye God in youre bodyes, and in youre spyrytes, for they are Goddes.
