¹⁸ And the Cedar of the house wythin was kerued with knoppes, & grauen wyth floures, and all was Cedar tymber, so that no stone was sene.

² He commeth vp and falleth awaye lyke a floure. He flyeth as it were a shadowe, and neuer continueth in one state.

²¹ He lyeth amonge the redes in the Mosses, the fennes

²⁴ O Lord, how manifolde are thy workes, right wisely hast thou made them al: yea, the earth is full of thy ryches.

¹⁵ That a man in hys time is but as grasse, and florisheth as a floure of the felde.

² as the Rose amonge the thornes, so is my loue among the daughters.

¹² The floures are come vp in the felde, the twystynge tyme is come, the voyce of the turtle doue is hearde in our lande.

¹ Bvt the deserte & wyldernes shall reioyse, the waste ground shalbe glad, and florysh as the lylly.

²⁸ And why care ye then for rayment? Considre the lylies of the filde, howe they growe. They laboureth not nether spynne.

²⁷ Consyder the lylyes howe they growe. They laboure not, they spin not, and yet I saye vnto you: that Salomon in all hys royaltte, was not clothed lyke to one of these.

²⁴ For all fleshe is as grasse, and all the glorye of man is as the floure grasse. The grasse wyddereth, and the floure falleth awaye,

¹⁵ That a man in hys time is but as grasse, and florisheth as a floure of the felde. ¹⁶ For as sone, as the wynde goeth ouer it, it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more.

¹² On the morowe muche people that were come to the feast, when they hearde that Iesus shoulde come to Hierusalem, ¹³ toke braunches of palme trees, and went and met hym, and cryed: Hosanna, blessed is he that in the name of the Lorde cometh kynge of Israell.

¹ I am the floure of the felde, and Lylye of the valleys:

⁸ Neuerthelesse whether the grasse wyther, or the floure fade awaye: Yet the worde of oure God endureth for euer. Moreouer the voyce cried thus:
