²² The Lorde deliuereth the soules of hys seruauntes, and all they that put their truste in hym, shall not offende.

¹⁰ He hath not dealt with vs after oure sinnes, nor rewarded vs according to our wickednesse.

²⁵ Where as I yet am euen he onlye, that for myne owne selfes sake do awaye thyne offences, & forget thy synnes: so that I wyll neuer thyncke vpon them.

¹ Because therfore that we are iustifyed by fayeth we are at peace wyth God thorowe oure Lorde Iesus Christe ² by whom we haue a waye in thorowe fayeth vnto thys grace where in we stande & reioye in hope of the prayse that shalbe geuen of God. ³ Nether do we so only: but also we reioice in tribulacion. For we know that tribulation bryngeth pacience, ⁴ pacience bringeth experience, experience bringeth hope. ⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, for the loue of God is sheed abroade in our hertes by the holye ghost, which he is geuen vnto vs. ⁶ For when we were yet weake accordyng to the tyme: Christ died for vs whiche were vngodly. ⁷ Yet scrace will anye man dye for a ryghtuouse man. Parauenture for a good man durst a man dye. ⁸ But God setteth out his loue that he hath to vs, seing that whil we wer yet sinners, Christ died for vs. ⁹ Much more then now (seing we are iustified in hys bloud) shall we be saued from wrath thorowe hym. ¹⁰ For yf when we were enemyes, we were reconciled to God by the death of hys sonne muche more, seynge we are reconciled, we shall be preserued by his lyfe. ¹¹ Not only so, but we also ioy in god by the means of oure Lorde Iesus Christ, by whom we haue receiued the attonment. ¹² Wherfore as by one man synne entred into the worlde, and death by the means of synne: ¹³ And so death went ouer all men, in so much that al men synned. For euen vnto the tyme of the lawe was synne in the worlde, but sinne was not regarded, as long as there was no lawe: ¹⁴ neuerthelesse death reygned from Adam to Moyses, euen ouer them also that synned not, with lyke transgression as did Adam: whyche is the similytude of hym that is to come. ¹⁵ But the gyfte is not lyke as the synne. For yf thorowe the synne of one, manye be dead: muche more plentuous vpon manye was the grace of God and gyfte by grace: Which grace was geuen by one man Iesus Christe. ¹⁶ And the gyfte is not ouer one that sinned. For damnacion came of one synne vnto condemnation but the gyfte came to iustify from many synnes. ¹⁷ For if by the synne of one death reygned by the meanes of one: muche more shall they whiche receyue aboundaunce of grace & of the gyfte of ryghtuousnes reigne in life by the meanes of one (that is to saye) Iesus Christe. ¹⁸ Lykewyse then as by the synne of one, condemnacion came on al men: euen so by the iustifiyng of one commeth the ryghtuousnes that bryngeth lyfe vpon al men. ¹⁹ For as by one mans disobedience many became synners: so by the obedience of one, shall manye be made ryghtuouse. ²⁰ But the law in the meane tyme entred in, that sinne should encreace. Neuerthelater where aboundaunce of synne was, there was more plentuousnes of grace, ²¹ that as synne had reygned vnto death, euen so myght grace raygne thorow rightuousnes vnto eternall lyfe, by the helpe of Iesus Christe.

⁹ If we knowledge oure sinnes, he is faythfull and iust, to forgeue vs our sinnes, and to clense vs from al vnrightuousnes.

¹¹ Turne not thou thy mercy fro me O Lord but let thy louynge kyndnesse and trueth alwaye preseue me. ¹² For innumerable troubles are come about me: my synnes haue taken suche holde vpon me that I am not able to loke vp: yea they are mo in number then the heares of my head and my hert hath fayled me.

³ And therfore strengthen the weake handes, and comforte the feble knees. ⁴ Saye vnto them that are of a fearfull herte: Be of good there, & feare not. Beholde youre God cometh, to take vengeaunce, and to rewarde, God commeth his owne selfe, & wyll delyuer you. ⁵ Then shall the eyes of the blynde be lyghtened, & the eares of the deafe opened. ⁶ Then shall the lame man leape as an herte, and the domme mans tunge shal geue thanckes. In the wyldernesse also there shall welles spryge, and floudes of water in the deserte.

¹ There is then no damnation to them which are in Christ Iesu, which walke not after the flesh: but after the spirite. ² For the law of the spirite that bringeth lyfe through lyfe through Iesus Christe, hath delyuered me from the lawe of synne & death. ³ For what the lawe coulde not do in as much as it was weake because of the fleshe: that performed God, and sente hys sonne in the similitude of synfull fleshe, ⁴ and by synne dampned synne in the fleshe: that the ryghtuousnes requyred of the law myghte be fulfylled in vs, which walke not after the flesh but after the spirite. ⁵ For they that are carnally, are carnally mynded. But they that are spirituall, are ghostly minded. ⁶ To be carnally mynded is death. But to be spiritually minded is lyfe and peace. ⁷ Because that the fleshlye minde is enemy agaynste God: for it is not obediente to the lawe of God, neyther can be. ⁸ So then they that are geuen to the fleshe, can not please God. ⁹ But ye are not geuen to the fleshe, but to the spirite yf so be that the spirite of God dwell in you. Yf there be any man that hath not the spirite of Christ, the same is none of hys. ¹⁰ Yf Christe be in you, the bodye is deade because of synne: but the spirite is lyfe for ryghtuousnes sake. ¹¹ Wherfore yf the spirit of him that raysed vp Iesus frome deathe dwell in you, euen he that raysed vp Christe from death shall quicken your mortall bodyes, because that his spirite dwelleth in you. ¹² Therfore brethren we are nowe detters not to the fleshe, ¹³ to lyue after the fleshe. For yf ye liue after the, fleshe, ye muste dye. But if ye mortifye the dedes of the bodye, by the helpe of the spirite, ye shall liue. ¹⁴ For as many as are led by the spirite of God: ¹⁵ they are the sonnes of God. For ye haue not receiued the spirite of bondage to feare anye more: but ye haue receiued the spirite of adoption, where by we crye Abba father. ¹⁶ The same spirite certifieth oure spirite that we are the sonnes of God. ¹⁷ Yf we be sonnes, we are also heyres, the heyres I meane of God, and heyres annexed with Christe yf so be that we suffer together, that we maye be glorified together. ¹⁸ For I suppose that the afflictions of thys lyfe are not worthy of the glory which shall be shewed vpon vs. ¹⁹ Also the feruente desyre of the creatures abydeth lokynge when the sonnes of God shal appere, ²⁰ because the creatures are subdued to vanitie agaynst their wyl but for his will which subdueth them in hope. ²¹ For the verye creatures shall be deliuered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious libertye of the sonnes of God. ²² For we knowe that euerye creature groneth with vs also & traueyleth in payne euen vnto this tyme. ²³ Not they onely, but euen we also which haue the fyrst fruytes of the spirite, mourne in oure selues and wayte for the (adoption) & luke for the deliueraunce of oure bodyes. ²⁴ For we are saued by hope, But hope that is sene is no hope. For howe can a man hope for that which he seyth? ²⁵ But and yf we hope for that we se not, then do we with pacience abyde for yt. ²⁶ Lykewyse the spirite also helpeth our infirmityes. For we knowe not what to desyre as we ought: but the spirite maketh intercession mightelye for vs wyth gronynges whiche can not be expressed with tonge. ²⁷ And he that searcheth the hertes knoweth what is the meanynge of the spirite: for he maketh intercession for the sayntes accordinge to the pleasure of God. ²⁸ For we knowe that all thynges worke for the beste vnto them that loue God, whyche also are called of purpose. ²⁹ For those which he knewe before he also ordeyned before, that they shoulde be like fashioned vnto the shape of hys sonne that he myght be the fyrste begotten sonne amonge manye brethren. ³⁰ More ouer whiche he appointed before, them he also called. And which he called, them also he iustified, whiche he iustified, them he also glorifyed. ³¹ What shall we then say vnto these thynges? yf God be on oure syde: who can be agaynste vs? ³² whyche spared not his owne sonne but gaue hym for vs all: how shall he not wyth hym geue vs all thynges also? ³³ Who shall laye anye thynge to the charg of Goddes chosen? It is God that iustifieth ³⁴ who then shall condempne? It is Christe whyche is dead, ye rather which is rysen agayne, which is also on the right hande of God, and maketh intercession for vs. ³⁵ Who shall seperate vs from the loue of God shall tribulation? or anguyshe? or persecution? othere honger? other nakednesse? other peryll? other swearde? ³⁶ As it is wrytten: For thy sake are we killed al day longe, and are counted as shepe appointed to be slayne. ³⁷ Neuerthelesse in all these thynges we ouercome stronglye thorowe hys helpe that loued vs. ³⁸ Yea and I am sure that neyther death, neither life, neyther angels, nor rule, neythere power, neythere thinges presente, neyther thynges to come, ³⁹ neyther heyght, neyther loweth, neyther any other creature? shall be able to depart vs from the lowe of God, shewed in Christ Iesu our Lord.

¹¹ She sayed no man Lorde. And Iesus sayde: Neyther do I condempne the. Go, and synne no more.

³⁴ who then shall condempne? It is Christe whyche is dead, ye rather which is rysen agayne, which is also on the right hande of God, and maketh intercession for vs.

²⁰ But if our hertes condempne vs, God is greater then our hertes, and knoweth all thinges.

¹⁷ For God sent not his sonne into the world, to condempne the worlde: but that the world through him, might be saued.

¹ Therfore arte thou inexcusable (O man) whosoeuer thou be that iudgest. For in that same wherin thou iudgest another, thou condemnest thy selfe. For thou that iudgeste doest euen the same selfe thynges. ² But we are sure that the iudgement of God is accordynge to trueth agaynst them, which committe suche thinges. ³ Thinkest thou this (O thou man that iudgeste them, whiche do suche thinges) and yet dost euen the very same, that thou shalt escape the iudgement of God? ⁴ Eyther despysest thou the riches of hys goodnes, pacience and longe sufferaunce? and remembreste not howe that the kindnes of God leadeth the to repentaunce? ⁵ But thou after thyne harde herte that can not repente, heapeste the together the treasure of wrath againste the daye of vengaunce, when shall be opened the rightuous iudgement of God, ⁶ whyche wyll rewarde euerye man according to hys dedes: ⁷ that is to say, prayse, honoure and immortalytye, to them whyche continue in good doynge and seke eternall lyfe. ⁸ But vnto them that are rebellious and disobey the trueth, and folowe iniquitie, shall come indignacion and wrath, ⁹ tribulacion and anguishe, vpon the souls of euerye man that doeth euyll: of the Iewe fyrst, and also of the gentyll. ¹⁰ To euery man that doth good, shall come prayse, honoure, and peace, to the Iewe fyrst, and also to the gentil. ¹¹ For ther is no parcialitie with God. But whosoeuer hath synned without lawe, ¹² shall perishe wythout lawe. And as many as haue synned vnder the lawe, shalbe iudged by the law. ¹³ For before God they are not ryghtuous whiche heare the lawe: but the doers of the lawe shalbe iustifyed. ¹⁴ For yf the Gentyls whiche haue no lawe do of nature the thinges contayned in the lawe: then they hauynge no lawe, are a law vnto them selues, ¹⁵ which shew the dedes of the lawe wrytten in theyr hertes: whyle theyr conscience beareth witnes vnto them, and also theyr thoughtes, accusyng one another, or excusynge ¹⁶ at the daye when God shall iudge the secretes of men by Iesus Christ accordynge to my Gospell. ¹⁷ Beholde, thou art called a Iewe, and trustest in the lawe, and reioysest in God, ¹⁸ & knowest hys wyll, and haste experience of good, and bad, in that thou arte infourmed by the lawe, ¹⁹ and beleuest that thou thy selfe arte a guyde vnto the blynde, a lyght to them which are in darknes, ²⁰ an infourmer of them whiche lacke discrecyon, a teacher of vnlearned, which haste the ensample of that whiche ought to be knowen, and of the trueth, in the lawe. ²¹ But thou whiche teachest not another, teacheste not thy selfe. Thou preachest, a man shoulde not steale, and yet thou stealest. ²² Thou sayst, a man shoulde not commyt aduoutrye: and thou breakest wedlocke. Thou abhorreste ymages, and robeste God of hys honoure. ²³ Thou reioysest in the lawe and thorow breakynge the law, dishonourest God. ²⁴ For the name of god is euyll spoken of amonge the gentyls thorow you, as it is wrytten. ²⁵ Circumcysyon verelye auayleth, yf thou kepe the lawe. But yf thou breake the lawe, thy circumcysyon is made vncircumcisyon. ²⁶ Therfore yf the vncircumcised kepe the right thynges conteyned in the lawe: shall not hys vncircumcysyon be counted for circumcision? ²⁷ And shall not vncircumcysyon whiche is by nature (yf it kepe the lawe) iudge the, whiche beynge vnder the letter and circumcysyon, doest transgresse the lawe? ²⁸ For he is not a Iewe, whiche is a Iewe outwarde. Neyther is that thynge circumcysyon, whiche is outewarde in the fleshe: ²⁹ but he is a Iewe, which is hyd within, and the circumcisyon of the herte is the true circumcisyon, whiche is in the spirite & not in the letter, whose prayse is not of men, but of God.
