Genesis 28:20-22

20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will keep me in this journey which I go and will give me bread to eat, and clothes to put on, 21 so that I come again unto my father's house in safety: then shall the LORD be my God, 22 and this stone which I have set up on end, shall be God's house. And of all that thou shalt give me, will I give the tenth unto thee."

Haggai 2:8

8 The silver is mine, the gold is mine, sayeth the LORD of Hosts.

Romans 13:7

7 Give to every man therefore his duty: Tribute to whom tribute belongeth: Custom to whom custom is due: fear to whom fear belongeth: Honour to whom honour pertaineth.

Hebrews 7:1-28

1 This Melchizedek, king of Salem — which being priest of the most high God, met Abraham, as he returned again from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him: 2 to whom also Abraham gave tithes of all things — first is, by interpretation, king of righteousness, after that he is king of Salem, that is to say king of peace, 3 without father, without mother, without kin, and hath neither beginning of his time, neither yet end of his life: but is likened unto the son of God, and continueth a priest forever. 4 Consider what a man this was, unto whom the patriarch Abraham gave tithes of the spoils. 5 And verily those children of Levi, which receive the office of the priests, have a commandment to take according to the law, tithes of the people, that is to say, of their brethren, yea though they sprung out of the loins of Abraham. 6 But he whose kindred is not counted among them, received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7 And no man denieth but that which is less, receiveth blessing of him which is greater. 8 And here men that die receive tithes. But there he receiveth tithes of whom it is witnessed, that he liveth. 9 And to say the truth, Levi himself also which receiveth tithes, paid tithes in Abraham. 10 For he was yet in the loins of his father Abraham, when Melchizedek met him. 11 If now therefore perfection came by the priesthood of the Levites — for under that priesthood the people received the law — what needed it furthermore that another priest should rise, after the order of Melchizedek, and not after the order of Aaron? 12 Now no doubt, if the priesthood be translated, then of necessity must the law be translated also. 13 For he of whom these things are spoken, pertaineth unto another tribe, of which never man served at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord sprung of the tribe of Judah, of which tribe spake Moses nothing concerning priesthood. 15 And it is yet a more evident thing, if after the similitude of Melchizedek there arise another priest, 16 which is not made after the law of the carnal commandment: but after the power of the endless life. 17 For he testifieth, "Thou art a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek." 18 Then the commandment that went afore, is disannulled, because of her weakness and unprofitableness. 19 For the law made no thing perfect: but was an introduction of a better hope, by which hope, we draw nigh unto God. 20 And for this cause it is a better hope, that it was not promised without an oath. 21 Those priests were made without an oath: but this priest with an oath, by him that said unto him, "The Lord sware, and will not repent: Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek." 22 And for that cause was Jesus an establisher of a better testament. 23 And among them, many were made priests, because they were not suffered to endure by the reason of death. 24 But this man, because he endureth ever, hath an everlasting priesthood: 25 Wherefore he is able also ever to save them that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth, to make intercession for us. 26 Such a high priest it becometh us to have, which is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than heaven. 27 Which needeth not daily — as yonder high priests — to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's sins. For that did he at once for all, when he offered up himself: 28 For the law maketh men priests, which have infirmity: but the word of the oath that came since the law, maketh the son priest, which is perfect for evermore.

Leviticus 27:30

30 "'All these tithes of the land, whether it be of the corn of the field or fruit of the trees, shall be holy unto the LORD.

Deuteronomy 14:22-26

22 Thou shalt tithe all the increase of thy seed that cometh out of the field year by year. 23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he hath chosen to make his name dwell there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine and of thine oil, and the firstborn of thine oxen and of thy flock that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always. 24 If the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from the which the LORD thy God hath chosen to set his name there — for the LORD thy God hath blessed thee - 25 then make it in money and take the money in thine hand, and go unto the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen, 26 and bestow that money on whatsoever thy soul lusteth after: on oxen, sheep, wine and good drink, and on whatsoever thy soul desireth, and eat there before the LORD thy God and be merry: both thou, and thine household,

Matthew 6:1-4

1 Take heed to your alms, that ye give it not in the sight of men, to the intent that ye would be seen of them: or else ye get no reward of your father which is in heaven. 2 Whensoever therefore thou givest thine alms, thou shalt not make a trumpet to be blown before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues, and in the streets, for to be praised of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. 3 But when thou doest thine alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 that thine alms may be secret: and thy father which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Luke 11:42

Mark 12:41-44

41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people put money into the treasury. And many that were rich, cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury. 44 For they all did cast in of their superfluity: But she of her poverty, did cast in all that she had, even all her living."

Proverbs 3:9

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

6 This yet remember, how that he which soweth little, shall reap little: and he that soweth plenteously shall reap plenteously. 7 And let every man do according as he hath purposed in his heart, not grudgingly, or of necessity. For God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 God is able to make you rich in all grace, that ye in all things having sufficient unto the utmost, may be rich unto all manner good works,

Malachi 3:8-10

8 Should a man use falsity and deceit with God, as ye use falsity and deceit with me? Yet ye say, 'Wherein use we deceit with thee?' In tithes and heave offerings. 9 Therefore are ye cursed with penury, because ye dissemble with me, all the sort of you. 10 Bring every tithe into my barn, that there may be meat in mine house: and prove me withal, sayeth the LORD of Hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven unto you, and pour you out a blessing with plenteousness.
