⁸ I will inform thee, and teach thee in the way wherein thou shalt go; and I will guide thee with mine eye. ⁹ Be ye not like to horse and mule, which have no understanding, whose mouths must be held with bit and bridle, if they will not obey thee. ¹⁰ Great plagues remain for the ungodly; but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD, mercy embraceth him on every side.

¹⁴ Eschew evil, and do good; seek peace, and ensue it.

²² O cast thy burden or care upon the LORD; he shall nourish thee, and not leave the righteous in unquietness.

¹ But now, the LORD that made thee O Jacob, and he that fashioned thee O Israel, sayeth thus, "Fear not, for I will defend thee. I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine own. ² If thou goest through the water, I will be with thee, that the strong floods should not pluck thee away. When thou walkest in the fire, it shall not burn thee, and the flame shall not kindle upon thee. ³ For I am the LORD thy God, the holy one of Israel, thy Saviour. I gave Egypt for thy deliverance, the Ethiopians and the Sabees for thee:

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your hearts be grieved, neither fear ye.

¹ And he said unto his disciples, "Let not your hearts be troubled: believe in God, and believe in me. ² In my father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ³ And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again: and receive you even unto myself, that where I am, there may ye be also. ⁴ And whither I go, ye know; and the way ye know."

⁷ For God hath not given to us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of soberness of mind.

⁵ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, which giveth to all men indifferently and casteth no man in the teeth; and it shall be given him.

⁹ Behold, I have said unto thee, be strong and bold: neither fear, nor dread. For the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

¹⁰ The God of all grace — which called you unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus — shall his own self, after ye have suffered a little affliction, make you perfect: shall settle, strengthen, and establish you.

⁶ That we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man doeth unto me."

¹³ I can do all things through the help of Christ, which strengtheneth me.

⁶ Be not careful: but in all things show your petition unto God in prayer and supplication with giving of thanks.

⁶ Submit yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you, when the time is come. ⁷ Cast all your care to him: for he careth for you.

²⁵ Therefore I say unto you, be not careful for your life what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what raiment ye shall put on. Is not the life more worth than meat? and the body more of value than raiment? ²⁶ Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither reap, nor yet carry into the barns, and yet your heavenly father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? ²⁷ Which of you, though he took thought therefore, could put one cubit unto his stature? ²⁸ And why care ye then for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They labor not, neither spin: ²⁹ And yet for all that, I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his royalty, was not arrayed like unto one of these. ³⁰ Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow shall be cast into the furnace, shall he not much more do the same unto you, O ye of little faith? ³¹ Therefore take no thought, saying, 'What shall we eat?' Or. 'What shall we drink?' Or, 'Wherewith shall we be clothed?' ³² After all these things seek the gentiles: For your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. ³³ But rather, seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and the righteousness thereof; and all these things shall be ministered unto you. ³⁴ Care not then for the morrow: but let the morrow care for itself. For the day present hath ever enough of his own trouble.

⁶ Be not careful: but in all things show your petition unto God in prayer and supplication with giving of thanks. ⁷ And the peace of God which passeth all understanding keep your hearts, and minds in Christ Jesus.
