²³ O Jehovah, I know that the way of man does not belong to man; it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

³⁹ And He went a little further and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.

²³ And He said to all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me. ²⁴ For whoever will save his life shall lose it, but whoever will lose his life for My sake, he shall save it.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own, ²⁰ for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

⁵ For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, ⁶ who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, ⁷ but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.

²⁶ My son, give Me your heart, and let your eyes watch My ways.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.

⁶ Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time, ⁷ casting all your anxiety onto Him, for He cares for you. ⁸ Be sensible and vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour; ⁹ whom firmly resist in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions in the world are being completed in your brotherhood. ¹⁰ But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

³⁵ And He went forward a little and fell on the ground. And He prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. ³⁶ And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to You. Take away this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will.

¹ I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. ² Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit. ³ Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you. ⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered. And they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.

¹⁰ Be humbled before the Lord, and He will lift you up.

² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁷ Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
