² For vexation kills the fool, and envy slays the simple one.

² How long shall I take counsel in my heart having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall my enemy be lifted up over me? ³ Look! Answer me, O Jehovah my God; enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, ⁴ lest my enemy say, I have overcome him, and my foes rejoice when I am shaken.

²⁰ who has shown me great and evil distresses; You will turn me; You will make me live. You will turn me from the depths of the earth, You will bring me up. ²¹ You will increase my greatness and surround and comfort me on every side. ²² I will also praise You with a harp. O my God, I will sing Your truth; to You I will sing with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. ²³ My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, and my soul, which You have redeemed. ²⁴ My tongue also shall muse on Your righteousness all the day long; for those who seek my evil have turned pale, they are brought to shame.

¹⁵ but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

¹² and forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. ¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

¹⁰ as it is written: "There is none righteous, no not one;

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

⁷ Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

²³ for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,

²³ who when He was reviled did not revile in return. When He suffered, He did not threaten, but gave Himself up to Him who judges righteously.

³⁷ Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.

¹⁶ Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous one avails much.

¹⁵ looking diligently lest any fail of the grace of God, or lest any root of bitterness springing up disturb you, and by it many are defiled,

⁴ Charity has patience, is kind; charity is not envious, is not vain, is not puffed up; ⁵ does not behave indecently, does not seek her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil. ⁶ Charity does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth, ⁷ quietly covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

But when I became a man, I did away with the things of an infant. ¹² For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall fully know even as I also am fully known. ¹³ And now faith, hope, charity, these three remain; but the greatest of these is charity.

³¹ Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and tumult and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

²⁵ And when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive it so that also your Father in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
