Isaiah 53:1-12

1 Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed? 2 For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground; He has no form nor majesty that we should see Him, nor an appearance that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, each one to his own way; and Jehovah has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted; yet He opened not His mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before its shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people He was stricken. 9 And He put His grave with the wicked, and with a rich one in His death; although He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. 10 Yet it pleased Jehovah to crush Him; to grieve Him; that He should put forth His soul as a guilt-offering. He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand. 11 He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify for many; and He shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide to Him with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul to death; and He was counted among the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.

Isaiah 1:1-31

1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for Jehovah has spoken, I have nursed and brought up sons, and they have rebelled against Me. 3 The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib; but Israel does not know; My people do not understand. 4 Woe, sinful nation, a people heavy with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, sons who corrupt! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger; they have gone away backward. 5 Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more; the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. 6 From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it; only a wound and a stripe and a fresh blow; they have not been closed, nor bound up, nor soothed with oil. 7 Your land is wasted, your cities burned with fire. Strangers devour your land right before your eyes, and it is wasted, as overthrown by strangers. 8 And the daughter of Zion is left a booth in a vineyard, like a hut in a garden of cucumbers, like a besieged city. 9 Except Jehovah of Hosts had left us a very small remnant, we would be as Sodom; we would be like Gomorrah. 10 Hear the Word of Jehovah, rulers of Sodom; give ear to the Law of our God, people of Gomorrah. 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? says Jehovah; I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of he-goats. 12 When you come to appear before Me, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts? 13 Bring no more vain sacrifice; incense is an abomination to Me; the new moon and sabbath, the going to meeting; I cannot endure evil and the assembly! 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; they are a trouble to Me; I am weary to bear them. 15 And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil; 17 learn to do good; seek judgment, reprove the oppressor. Judge the orphan, plead for the widow. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, says Jehovah; though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; 20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken. 21 How has the faithful city become a harlot? It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers. 22 Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water; 23 your rulers are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards; they do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them. 24 And the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, the mighty One of Israel, says, Alas! I will ease Myself of My foes, and avenge Myself of My enemies. 25 And I will turn back My hand on you, and purge away your dross as with lye, and take away all your alloy. 26 And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. 27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her returning ones with righteousness. 28 And the downfall of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together; and those who forsake Jehovah shall be consumed. 29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be ashamed for the gardens which you have chosen. 30 For you shall be like an oak whose leaf fades, and like a garden that has no water. 31 And the strong shall be like tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall put them out.

John 17:9

9 I pray for them. I do not pray for the world, but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

42 So also the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Romans 4:25

25 who was delivered because of our offenses and was raised for our justification.

Romans 5:11

11 And not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation.

1 Corinthians 5:7

7 Therefore purge out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.

Psalms 136:1-26

1 Oh give thanks to Jehovah; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever. 2 Oh give thanks to the God of gods; for His mercy endures forever. 3 Oh give thanks to the Lord of lords; for His mercy endures forever. 4 To Him who alone does great wonders; for His mercy endures forever. 5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens; for His mercy endures forever. 6 To Him who stretched out the earth above the waters; for His mercy endures forever. 7 To Him who made great lights; for His mercy endures forever. 8 The sun to rule by day; for His mercy endures forever. 9 the moon and stars to rule by night; for His mercy endures forever. 10 To Him who struck Egypt in their first-born; for His mercy endures forever; 11 and brought Israel out from among them, for His mercy endures forever; 12 with a strong hand, and a stretched out arm; for His mercy endures forever; 13 to Him who divided the Red Sea into parts; for His mercy endures forever; 14 and made Israel to pass through the middle of it; for His mercy endures forever; 15 but threw Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea; for His mercy endures forever. 16 To Him who led His people through the wilderness; for His mercy endures forever. 17 To Him who struck great kings; for His mercy endures forever; 18 and killed famous kings; for His mercy endures forever: 19 Sihon king of the Amorites; for His mercy endures forever; 20 and Og the king of Bashan; for His mercy endures forever; 21 and gave their land for an inheritance; for His mercy endures forever; 22 an inheritance to Israel His servant; for His mercy endures forever. 23 Who remembered us in our low estate; for His mercy endures forever; 24 and has redeemed us from our enemies; for His mercy endures forever. 25 Who gives food to all flesh; for His mercy endures forever. 26 Oh give thanks to the God of Heaven; for His mercy endures forever.

Mark 16:1-8

1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of James and Salome, had bought sweet spices so that they might come and anoint Him. 2 And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came upon the tomb, the sun having risen. 3 And they said among themselves, Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us? 4 And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back, for it was very great. 5 And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right, clothed in a long white garment. And they were frightened. 6 And he said to them, Do not be frightened. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen, He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him. 7 But go tell His disciples and Peter that He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see Him, as He said to you. 8 And they went out quickly and fled from the tomb. For they trembled and were amazed. Neither did they say anything to anyone, for they were afraid.

Matthew 28:1-20

1 But late in the week, at the dawning into the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, a great earthquake occurred! For coming down from Heaven, and coming up, an angel of the Lord rolled back the stone from the door and was sitting on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And the keepers shook for fear of him and became like dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said to the women, Do not fear, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead. And, behold, He goes before you into Galilee. There you shall see Him. Lo, I have told you. 8 And they quickly departed from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. 9 But as they were going to report to His disciples, behold, Jesus also met them, saying, Hail! And they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid; go tell My brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see Me. 11 And as they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and declared all the things that were done to the chief priests. 12 And being assembled with the elders, and taking counsel, they gave enough silver to the soldiers, 13 saying, Say that His disciples came by night and stole Him away while we slept. 14 And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will persuade him and make you free from care. 15 And taking the silver, they did as they were taught. And this saying was spread among the Jews until today. 16 And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him. But some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth. 19 Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.

Luke 24:36-39

36 And as they spoke this, Jesus Himself stood in their midst, and said to them, Peace to you! 37 But they were terrified and filled with fear, for they thought they saw a spirit. 38 And He said to them, Why are you troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold My hands and My feet, that I am He! Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see Me have.

John 20:1-18

1 The first of the sabbaths Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, darkness still being on it, and she saw the stone taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him. 3 Therefore Peter and that other disciple went forth and came to the tomb. 4 So they both ran together. And the other disciple outran Peter and came first to the tomb. 5 And stooping down he saw the linens lying, yet he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came following him and went into the tomb. And he saw the linens lying there. 7 And the grave-cloth that was on His head was not lying with the linens, but was wrapped up in one place by itself. 8 Therefore, then, that other disciple also went in, the one who came first to the tomb. And he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture that He must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to themselves. 11 But Mary stood outside of the tomb, weeping. And as she wept, she stooped down into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting there, the one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 And they said to her, Woman, why do you weep? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him. 14 And when she had said this, she turned backward and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek? Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him, Sir, if you have carried Him away from here, tell me where you have laid Him and I will take Him away. 16 Jesus said to her, Mary! She turned herself and said to Him, Rabboni! (which is to say, Master!) 17 Jesus said to her, Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, I ascend to My Father and Your Father, and to My God and your God. 18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that He had spoken these things to her.

Isaiah 58:1-14

1 Cry aloud, do not spare, lift up your voice like a ram's horn, and show My people their rebellion, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and one who did not forget the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in drawing near to God. 3 They say, Why have we fasted, and You do not see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and You take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and crush all your laborers. 4 Behold, you fast for strife and debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness; you shall not fast as you do today, to make your voice to be heard on high. 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast and a day pleasing to Jehovah? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed ones go free, and that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 Then shall your light break out as the dawn, and your health shall spring out quickly; and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Jehovah shall gather you. 9 Then you shall call, and Jehovah shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, Here I am. If you take the yoke away from among you, the pointing of the finger, and speaking vanity; 10 and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. 11 And Jehovah shall always guide you and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones fat; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters fail not. 12 And those who come of you shall build the old ruins; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. 13 If you turn your foot because of the Sabbath, from doing what you please on My holy days, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of Jehovah, honorable; and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, 14 then you shall delight yourself in Jehovah; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed yourself with the inheritance of Jacob your father. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Luke 24:1-12

1 And on the first of the sabbaths, while still very early, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2 But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3 And going in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And as they were much perplexed about it, it happened that, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed their faces down to the earth, they said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again? 8 And they remembered His words 9 and returned from the tomb and told all these things to the Eleven and to the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the rest with them, who told these things to the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them like foolishness, and they did not believe them. 12 And Peter arose and ran to the tomb, and stooping down he saw the linens lying alone. And he went away wondering to himself at what had happened.
