¹ A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want. ² He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters; ³ He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. ⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. ⁵ You prepare a table for me before my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. ⁶ Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah for as long as my days.

¹² For wisdom is in a shadow; and silver is in a shadow; but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.

¹² Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap as mercy. Break up your plowed ground. For it is time to seek Jehovah, until He comes and rains righteousness on you.

²⁴ And the one who received the one talent also coming up, he said, Lord, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter; ²⁵ and being afraid, going away, I hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have yours. ²⁶ And answering, his lord said to him, Evil and slothful slave! You knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not I scatter. ²⁷ Then you ought to have put my silver to the bankers, and coming I would have received my own with interest. ²⁸ Therefore, take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. ²⁹ For to each who has, more will be given, and he will abound. But from him who does not have, even that which he has will be taken from him. ³⁰ And throw the worthless slave out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

¹¹ in diligence, not slothful, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

¹² And may the Lord make you to increase and to abound in love toward one another and toward all, even as we also toward you,

⁸ This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, and you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you shall be on guard to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall prosper your way, and then you shall act wisely.

¹⁹ Bread is made for laughter, and wine gladdens life; but silver answers all things .

⁷ Wisdom is the main thing; get wisdom, and with all your getting, get understanding.

²⁹ Do you see a man who is prompt in his work? He shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before obscure men .

¹ And if you shall heed the voice of Jehovah your God, taking heed to do all His commandments which I command you this day, Jehovah your God shall set you on high above all nations of the earth. ² And all these blessings shall come on you and overtake you. If you will listen to the voice of Jehovah your God. ³ You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the field. ⁴ The fruit of your body shall be blessed, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your livestock, the offspring of your oxen, and the young ones of your flock. ⁵ Your basket and your kneadingtrough shall be blessed. ⁶ You shall be blessed when you come in, and you shall be blessed when you go out. ⁷ Jehovah shall cause your enemies that rise up against you to be stricken before your face. They shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways. ⁸ Jehovah shall command the blessing on you in your storehouses and all that you set your hand to . And He shall bless you in the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you. ⁹ Jehovah shall establish you a holy people to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commands of Jehovah your God and welcome His ways. ¹⁰ And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of Jehovah, and they shall fear you. ¹¹ And Jehovah shall prosper you in goods, and in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground in the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers to give it to you. ¹² Jehovah shall open to you His good treasure, the heavens to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. ¹³ And Jehovah shall make you the head, and not the tail. And you shall be only above, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I am commanding you today, to be careful to do them. ¹⁴ And you shall not turn away from all the words which I am commanding you today, right or left, to go after other gods, to serve them.

¹⁴ For it is as if a man going abroad called his own slaves and delivered his goods to them. ¹⁵ And to one indeed he gave five talents, and to another, two, and to another, one, to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once. ¹⁶ And going, the one who received the five talents worked with them and made another five talents. ¹⁷ In the same way, the one with the two also did; he also gained another two. ¹⁸ But going away, the one who received the one dug in the earth and hid his lord's silver. ¹⁹ And after much time, the lord of those slaves came and took account with them. ²⁰ And coming up, the one who received five talents brought another five talents near, saying, Lord, you delivered five talents to me. Behold, I gained another five talents above them. ²¹ And his lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful over a few things; I will set you over many. Enter into the joy of your lord. ²² And the one who received two talents also coming up, he said, Lord, you delivered two talents to me. Behold, I have gained two other talents above them. ²³ His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many.
