1 Timothy 2:11-15

11 Let a woman learn in silence, in all subjection. 12 And I do not allow a woman to teach nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived has come to be in transgression; 15 but she will be kept safe through the childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with sensibleness.

Titus 1:5

5 For this cause I left you in Crete, that you might set in order the things lacking and appoint elders in every city, as I ordered you:

Acts 20:28

Titus 1:6-9

6 If anyone is blameless, husband of one wife, having faithful children, not in accusation of loose behavior, or disobedient, 7 (for the overseer must be blameless as a steward of God), not self-pleasing, not prone to anger, not given to wine, not a quarreler, not greedy of ill gain; 8 but hospitable, a lover of good, discreet, just, holy, temperate, 9 clinging to the faithful word according to the teaching, that he may be able both to encourage by sound doctrine and to convict the ones contradicting.

1 Timothy 5:17

17 Let the elders who take the lead well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those laboring in word and teaching.

1 Timothy 5:17-19

17 Let the elders who take the lead well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those laboring in word and teaching. 18 For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle an ox treading out grain," and, the laborer is worthy of his pay. Deut. 25:4 19 Do not receive an accusation against an elder unless on " the testimony of " "two or three witnesses." Deut. 19:15

1 Timothy 3:1-16

1 Faithful is the Word: If anyone reaches out to overseership, he desires a good work. 2 Then it behooves the overseer to be blameless, husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, well-ordered, hospitable, apt at teaching; 3 not a drinker, not a contentious one, not greedy of ill gain, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not loving money; 4 ruling his own house well, having children in subjection with all respect. 5 But if anyone does not know to rule his own house, how will he care for a church of God? 6 He should not be a novice, lest being puffed up he may fall into the Devil's judgment. 7 But he must also have a good witness from those outside, that he not fall into reproach and into a snare of the Devil. 8 Likewise, deacons to be reverent, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy of ill gain, 9 having the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. 10 And also let these be tested first, then let them serve, being without reproach. 11 Likewise, their wives to be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. 12 Let deacons be husbands of one wife, ruling their own households and children well. 13 For those having served well gain a good grade for themselves and much boldness in faith, those in Christ Jesus. 14 I write these things to you, hoping to come to you shortly. 15 But if I delay, that you may know how to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 16 And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

Acts 14:23

23 And having handpicked elders for them in every church, having prayed with fastings, they committed them to the Lord into whom they had believed.

1 Peter 5:1-5

1 I, a fellow elder, exhort the elders among you, I being also witness of the sufferings of Christ, and being sharer of the glory about to be revealed: 2 Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; nor eagerly for base gain, but readily; 3 nor as exercising lordship over the ones allotted to you, but becoming examples of the flock. 4 And at the appearing of the Chief Shepherd, you will receive the never fading crown of glory. 5 Likewise, younger ones be subject to older ones; and all being subject to one another. Put on humility, because God sets Himself "against proud ones, but He gives grace to humble ones." Prov. 3:34
