¹⁶ And we have known and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and the one abiding in love abides in God, and God in him.

¹¹ Not that I speak as to need, for I have learned to be content in whatever state I am. ¹² But I know to be humbled, and I know to abound; in everything, and in all things, I am taught both to be filled and to hunger, both to abound, and to lack. ¹³ I can do all things through Christ, the One giving me power.

Let him seek peace, and pursue it; ¹² because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against any doing evil things." ³³ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

⁶ But godliness with contentment is great gain. ⁷ For we have brought nothing into the world, and it is plain that neither can we carry anything out. ⁸ But having food and clothing, we will be satisfied with these. ⁹ But those having purposed to be rich fall into temptation, and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and loss. ¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all evils, by means of which some having lusted after it were seduced from the faith, and they themselves pierced through by many pains.

¹⁸ In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.

⁵ Set your way of life without money-loving, being satisfied with present things; for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you," never! Deut. 31:6
