¹⁰ Now _⌊when_⌋* Daniel realized that the document was signed, he went to his house (_⌊now he had windows in his upper room that were open_⌋* toward Jerusalem), and three times _⌊daily_⌋* he knelt on his knees and prayed and gave praise before his God, _⌊just as_⌋* he had been doing _⌊previously_⌋.*

⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

²² The faith that you have, have with respect to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not pass judgment on himself by what he approves.

²⁴ "No one is able to serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You are not able to serve God and money.*

⁷ concerning everything showing yourself to be an example of good deeds, in your teaching demonstrating soundness, dignity, ⁸ a sound message beyond reproach, in order that _⌊an opponent_⌋* may be put to shame, because he* has nothing bad to say concerning us.

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and _⌊forever_⌋*.

³ And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. ⁴ The one who says "I have come to know him," and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person. ⁵ But whoever keeps his word, truly in this person the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in him. ⁶ The one who says that he resides in him ought also to walk* just as that one walked. ⁷ Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the message which you have heard. ⁸ Again, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you, because* the darkness is passing away and the true light already is shining. ⁹ The one who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness until now. ¹⁰ The one who loves his brother resides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. ¹¹ But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

¹⁵ 'I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! ¹⁶ Thus, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit you out of my mouth!

¹⁷ and he himself is before all things, and in him all things are held together,

²⁷ And as for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you do not have need that anyone teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you reside* in him.

³⁷ But let your statement be 'Yes, yes; no, no,' and anything beyond these is from the evil one.*

⁹ And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we* do not give up.

²¹ You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You are not able to share the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

¹³ No domestic slave is able to serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and money."

⁵⁸ So then, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, because you* know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
