¹⁴ But put you on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts of it.

¹³ Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

²⁷ But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

³ Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. ⁴ The wife has not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband has not power of his own body, but the wife. ⁵ Defraud you not one the other, unless it be with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your lack of self control.

¹³ Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: ¹⁴ But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil sexual desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

²⁸ But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, ²¹ Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

¹⁴ But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. ¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

¹¹ Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

³ For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that you should abstain from fornication: ⁴ That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor; ⁵ Not in the lust of sexual desire, just as the Gentiles which know not God:

¹³ There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
