⁷ And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

²³ And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; ²⁴ Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

⁷ For yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; ⁸ Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing; but wrought with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: ⁹ Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an example unto you to follow us. ¹⁰ For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. ¹¹ For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. ¹² Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. ¹³ But you, brothers, be not weary in well doing.

³ Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

¹⁸ For the scripture says, You shall not muzzle the ox that treads out the corn. And, The laborer is worthy of his reward.

¹¹ And that you study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

²⁸ Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs.

³⁵ I have showed you all things, that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

⁴ Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of those who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
