¹⁹ Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and says unto them, Peace be unto you. ²⁰ And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD. ²¹ Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you. ²² And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and says unto them, Receive you the Holy Ghost: ²³ Whose soever sins you remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins you retain, they are retained.

¹¹ And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then says he to the man sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up your bed, and go unto your house. ⁷ And he arose, and departed to his house. ⁸ But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

¹ Be you followers of me, just as I also am of Christ. ² Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

⁵ For this cause left I you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you:

¹¹ Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. ¹² But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. ¹³ For Adam was first formed, then Eve. ¹⁴ And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. ¹⁵ Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with sobriety.
