²⁵ That Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying, ²⁶ Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you. ²⁷ For I know your rebellion, and your stubbornness: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, you have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death? ²⁸ Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth as witness against them. ²⁹ For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

¹⁰ For you will not leave my soul in sheol; neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption.

³³ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

³⁴ And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said in this way, I will give you the sure mercies of David. ³⁵ Therefore he says also in another psalm, You shall not allow your Holy One to see corruption. ³⁶ For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw corruption: ³⁷ But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

²⁷ Because you will not leave my soul in hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

² I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you can not bear them who are evil: and you have tried them who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars:

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

²¹ Because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

⁴ By which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

⁸ For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
