¹⁹ Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you. ²⁰ And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. ²¹ Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you. ²² And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive you the Holy Spirit: ²³ Whosoever’s sins you remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosoever’s sins you retain, they are retained.

¹¹ And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then said he to the paralytic) Arise, take up your bed, and go unto your house. ⁷ And he arose, and departed to his house. ⁸ But when the multitude saw it, they marveled, and glorified God, who had given such power unto men.

¹ Be followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. ² Now I praise you, brethren, because you remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
