⁶ And He said: 'Hear now My words: if there be a prophet among you, I the LORD do make Myself known unto him in a vision, I do speak with him in a dream.

¹ And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no frequent vision.

¹⁶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you, they lead you unto vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

² And the LORD answered me, and said: 'Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that a man may read it swiftly. ³ For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it declareth of the end, and doth not lie; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.'

¹⁰ Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias, and the Lord said unto him in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. ¹¹ And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus; for behold, he prayeth, ¹² and he hath seen a man named Ananias coming in, and laying his hands on him, that he might receive his sight.

¹⁷ And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of My Spirit upon all flesh; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

⁷ For the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His counsel unto His servants the prophets.

⁹ And the Lord said unto Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak and hold not thy peace;

¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

¹³ I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the Ancient of days, and he was brought near before Him. ¹⁴ And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

²⁸ (3:1) And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions;

³ For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it declareth of the end, and doth not lie; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.'

¹⁸ Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
