⁵ Trust in the LORD with all thy heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding. ⁶ In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths.

¹⁰ O ye that love the LORD, hate evil; He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivered them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁷ But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.

⁴⁶ And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples, ³² and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

⁴⁸ He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day.

⁴ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

⁷ casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you. ⁸ Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,

⁶ These have power to shut the heaven, that it rain not during the days of their prophecy; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they shall desire. ⁷ And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that cometh up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

⁸ Again, the devil taketh him unto an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, ⁹ and he saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh ⁴ (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds), ⁵ casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

⁹ Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but do lie, behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

¹² For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the evil one.

¹¹ and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them,

⁴ For there are certain men crept in privily, even they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, working signs, which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of that great day of God, the Almighty.

²² for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
