²⁷ Withhold not good from him to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it.

¹⁷ He that is gracious unto the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and his good deed will He repay unto him.

⁴¹ And Jesus sat down over against the treasury, and beheld how the multitude cast money into the treasury; and many that were rich cast in much. ⁴² And there came a poor widow, and she cast in two mites, which make a farthing. ⁴³ And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than all they that have cast into the treasury; ⁴⁴ for they all did cast in of their superfluity, but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

¹⁰ Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall be more than sufficiency.

¹ Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them; else ye have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. ² When therefore thou doest alms, sound not a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward. ³ But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth; ⁴ that thine alms may be in secret; and thy Father who seeth in secret shall himself recompense thee openly.

¹⁷ Charge them that are rich in this present world, that they be not highminded, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy, ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate, ¹⁹ laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

³³ Sell that which ye have, and give alms, make for yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief draweth near, neither moth destroyeth. ³⁴ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

⁶ But this I say, He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he that soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

³⁸ give, and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete it shall be measured to you again.

³⁵ In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

⁷ Let each man do according as he hath purposed in his heart; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.
