²⁹ Thou hidest Thy face, they vanish; Thou withdrawest their breath, they perish, and return to their dust. ³⁰ Thou sendest forth Thy spirit, they are created; and Thou renewest the face of the earth.

⁷ The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; because the breath of the LORD bloweth upon it - surely the people is grass.

²² Cease ye from man, in whose nostrils is a breath; for how little is he to be accounted!

²⁵ neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself giveth to all life, and breath, in respect to all things,

¹⁴ If He set His heart upon man, if He gather unto Himself his spirit and his breath; ¹⁵ All flesh shall perish together, and man shall return unto dust.

⁶ Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Hallelujah.

⁵ Thus saith God the LORD, He that created the heavens, and stretched them forth, He that spread forth the earth and that which cometh out of it, He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

⁹ Then said He unto me: 'Prophesy unto the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.'

²² And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit;

¹⁶ Every scripture, inspired of God, is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness.

³ All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,

⁷ Then the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

⁴ The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty given me life.
