²⁰ My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

¹¹ So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, except it accomplish that which I please, and make the thing whereto I sent it prosper.

³¹ Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away.

¹⁷ So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

⁴ For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written aforetime for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

¹⁵ So then, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye were taught, whether by word, or by epistle of ours.

² Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, ³ seeing that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by glory and virtue,

⁸ This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy ways prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. ⁹ Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not affrighted, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.'

¹¹ Thy word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee.

¹⁰⁵ NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

⁴ But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

⁷ (19:8) The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. ⁸ (19:9) The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. ⁹ (19:10) The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of the LORD are true, they are righteous altogether; ¹⁰ (19:11) More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ¹¹ (19:12) Moreover by them is Thy servant warned; in keeping of them there is great reward.

¹⁶ Every scripture, inspired of God, is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness. ¹⁷ That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.

¹² For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
