¹³ But when thou makest an entertainment, invite the poor, the maimed, the halt, the blind: ¹⁴ and thou shalt be blessed; because they cannot recompense thee: for a recompence shall be made thee at the resurrection of the just.

¹⁵ Be diligent to present thyself before God approved, a workman that need not blush, rightly dividing the word of truth.

¹⁷ But whosoever hath worldly abundance, and seeth his brother under necessity, and shutteth his bowels of compassion against him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

³⁵ In all things I have set you the example, that so labouring hard ye ought to help the infirm, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, because he himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

⁶ But this I add, He that soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly, and he that soweth bountifully, shall reap also bountifully.

²⁰ but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither rust nor canker spoil, and where thieves do not dig through and steal;

³³ Sell all your possessions, and give in charity; make yourselves purses that wax not old, a treasure never failing in the heavens, where no thief approaches, nor doth the moth destroy. ³⁴ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
