¹³ But now abide faith, hope, divine love, these three; but the greatest of these is divine love.

⁴ For so many things as were previously written were written for our instruction, in order that through the patience and through the consolation of the scriptures we may have hope.

¹ But faith is the confidence of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

² through whom we also have access by faith unto this grace in which we stand, and let us rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only so, but let us also rejoice in tribulation; knowing that tribulation works out endurance; ⁴ and endurance, approval; and approval, hope: ⁵ and hope makes not ashamed; because the divine love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Ghost who has been given unto us.

¹² rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing steadfastly in prayer;

¹³ And the God of hope fill you in all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Ghost.
