³⁷ But let your speech be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay; but that which aboundeth more than these is of the evil one.

³¹ And as you wish that the people may do unto you, do ye unto them even likewise.

¹⁶ In this I also exercise, to always have a conscience void of offense toward God and men.

¹⁸ Pray for us: for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, wishing in all things to deport ourselves in harmony with the beauty of holiness.

¹⁰ For let the one wishing to love life, and to see good days, cease his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile: ¹¹ let him depart from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it: ¹² because the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry: but the face of the Lord is against those doing evil.

⁸ Finally, brethren, so many things as are true, so many things as are noble, so many things as are righteous, so many things as are pure, so many things as are lovely, so many things as are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things. ⁹ Whatsoever things you have indeed learned and received and heard and seen in me, do the same: and the God of peace will be with you.

⁹ lie not to one another, having laid aside the old man with his habits,

³² and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

²¹ for we provide things honest, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also before the people.
