If it first beginne at vs, what shall the ende be of them which obey not the Gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely bee saued, where shall the vngodly and the sinner appeare? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit their soules to him in well doing, as vnto a faithfull Creator.

Romans 8:18

18 For I count that the afflictions of this present time are not worthy of the glory, which shalbe shewed vnto vs.

James 1:2-4

2 My brethren, count it exceeding ioy, when ye fall into diuers tentations, 3 Knowing that ye trying of your faith bringeth forth patience, 4 And let patience haue her perfect worke, that ye may be perfect and entier, lacking nothing.
