¹⁶ Then saide Thomas (which is called Didymus) vnto his felow disciples, Let vs also goe, that we may die with him.

¹³ I am able to do al things through the helpe of Christ, which strengtheneth me.

⁹ And he said vnto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect through weakenesse. Very gladly therefore will I reioyce rather in mine infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproches, in necessities, in persecutions, in anguish for Christes sake: for when I am weake, then am I strong.

²⁸ And feare yee not them which kill the bodie, but are nor able to kill the soule: but rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule and bodie in hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrowes sold for a farthing, and one of them shall not fal on the ground without your Father? ³⁰ Yea, and all the heares of your head are nombred. ³¹ Feare ye not therefore, yee are of more value then many sparowes. ³² Whosoeuer therefore shall confesse me before men, him will I confesse also before my Father which is in heauen. ³³ But whosoeuer shall denie me before me, him will I also denie before my Father which is in heauen.

³¹ What shall we then say to these thinges? If God be on our side, who can be against vs? ³² Who spared not his owne Sonne, but gaue him for vs all to death, how shall he not with him giue vs all things also? ³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods chosen? it is God that iustifieth, ³⁴ Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs. ³⁵ Who shall separate vs from the loue of Christ? shall tribulation or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakednesse, or perill, or sworde?

⁹ And when hee had opened the fifth seale, I sawe vnder the altar the soules of them, that were killed for the worde of God, and for the testimonie which they mainteined. ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, Lord, which art holie and true! doest not thou iudge and auenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

¹² Yea, and all that will liue godly in Christ Iesus, shall suffer persecution.

¹⁴ If yee be railed vpon for the Name of Christ, blessed are ye: for the spirit of glory, and of God resteth vpon you: which on their part is euill spoken of: but on your part is glorified. ¹⁵ But let none of you suffer as a murtherer, or as a thiefe, or an euil doer, or as a busibodie in other mens matters. ¹⁶ But if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not bee ashamed: but let him glorifie God in this behalfe.
