1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. I Waited paciently for the Lord, and he inclined vnto me, and heard my cry. 2 Hee brought mee also out of the horrible pit, out of the myrie clay, and set my feete vpon the rocke, and ordered my goings. 3 And he hath put in my mouth a new song of praise vnto our God: many shall see it and feare, and shall trust in the Lord.

30 I can doe nothing of mine owne selfe: as I heare, I iudge: and my iudgement is iust, because I seeke not mine owne will, but the will of the Father who hath sent me.

10 And the Lord came, and stoode, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speake, for thy seruant heareth.
12 Behold, in this hast thou not done right: I will answere thee, that God is greater then man. 13 Why doest thou striue against him? for he doeth not giue account of all his matters. 14 For God speaketh once or twise, and one seeth it not. 15 In dreames and visions of the night, when sleepe falleth vpon men, and they sleepe vpon their beds, 16 Then he openeth the eares of men, euen by their corrections, which he had sealed, 17 That he might cause man to turne away from his enterprise, and that he might hide the pride of man, 18 And keepe backe his soule from the pit, and that his life should not passe by the sword. 19 He is also striken with sorow vpon his bed, and the griefe of his bones is sore, 20 So that his life causeth him to abhorre bread, and his soule daintie meate. 21 His flesh faileth that it can not be seene, and his bones which were not seene, clatter. 22 So his soule draweth to the graue, and his life to the buriers. 23 If there be a messenger with him, or an interpreter, one of a thousand to declare vnto man his righteousnesse, 24 Then will he haue mercie vpon him, and will say, Deliuer him, that he go not downe into the pit: for I haue receiued a reconciliation. 25 Then shall his flesh be as fresh as a childes, and shall returne as in the dayes of his youth.
18 Open mine eies, that I may see the wonders of thy Lawe.
20 Heare counsell and receiue instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter ende.
13 He that answereth a matter before hee heare it, it is folly and shame vnto him.
4 The Lord God hath giuen me a tongue of the learned, that I shoulde knowe to minister a woord in time to him that is weary: he will raise me vp in the morning: in the morning hee will waken mine eare to heare, as the learned. 5 The Lord God hath opened mine eare and I was not rebellious, neither turned I backe.
27 But if ye will not heare me to sanctifie the Sabbath day, and not to beare a burden nor to go through the gates of Ierusalem in the Sabbath day, then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall deuoure the palaces of Ierusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
1 And it came to passe, that when Iesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galile, and came into ye coasts of Iudea beyond Iordan. 2 And great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there. 3 Then came vnto him the Pharises tempting him, and saying to him, Is it lawfull for a man to put away his wife vpon euery occasion? 4 And he answered and sayd vnto them, Haue ye not read, that hee which made them at the beginning, made them male and female, 5 And sayd, For this cause, shall a man leaue father and mother, and cleaue vnto his wife, and they which were two shalbe one flesh. 6 Wherefore they are no more twaine, but one flesh. Let not man therefore put asunder that, which God hath coupled together. 7 They said to him, Why did then Moses commaund to giue a bill of diuorcement, and to put her away? 8 He sayd vnto them, Moses, because of the hardnesse of your heart, suffered you to put away your wiues: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 I say therefore vnto you, that whosoeuer shall put away his wife, except it be for whoredome, and marry another, committeth adulterie: and whosoeuer marieth her which is diuorced, doeth commit adulterie. 10 Then sayd his disciples to him, If the matter be so betweene man and wife, it is not good to marry. 11 But he sayd vnto them, All men cannot receiue this thing, saue they to whom it is giuen. 12 For there are some eunuches, which were so borne of their mothers belly: and there be some eunuches, which be gelded by men: and there be some eunuches, which haue gelded them selues for the kingdome of heauen. He that is able to receiue this, let him receiue it. 13 Then were brought to him litle children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Iesus sayd, Suffer the litle children, and forbid them not to come to me: for of such is the kingdome of heauen. 15 And when he had put his hands on them, he departed thence. 16 And beholde, one came and sayd vnto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I doe, that I may haue eternall life? 17 And he said vnto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, eue God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keepe ye commandemets. 18 He sayd to him, Which? And Iesus sayde, These, Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not commit adulterie: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalt not beare false witnesse. 19 Honour thy father and mother: and thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe. 20 The yong man sayd vnto him, I haue obserued all these things from my youth: what lacke I yet? 21 Iesus sayd vnto him, If thou wilt be perfite, go, sell that thou hast, and giue it to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come, and follow me. 22 And when the yong man heard that saying, he went away sorowfull: for he had great possessions. 23 Then Iesus sayd vnto his disciples, Verely I say vnto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdome of heauen. 24 And againe I say vnto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, then for a rich man to enter into ye kingdome of God. 25 And whe his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amased, saying, Who then can be saued? 26 And Iesus behelde them, and sayde vnto them, With men this is vnpossible, but with God all things are possible. 27 Then answered Peter, and said to him, Beholde, we haue forsaken all, and followed thee: what therefore shall we haue? 28 And Iesus said vnto them, Verely I say to you, that when the Sonne of man shall sit in the throne of his maiestie, ye which folowed me in the regeneration, shall sit also vpon twelue thrones and iudge the twelue tribes of Israel. 29 And whosoeuer shall forsake houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my Names sake, he shall receiue an hundreth folde more, and shall inherite euerlasting life. 30 But many that are first, shalbe last, and the last shalbe first.

14 Where no counsell is, the people fall: but where many counsellers are, there is health.
2 Wherefore doe ye lay out siluer and not for bread? and your labour without being satisfied? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate that which is good, and let your soule delite in fatnes. 3 Encline your eares, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.
33 But seeke ye first the kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all these things shall be ministred vnto you.
4 But he answering said, It is written, Man shall not liue by bread onely, but by euery worde that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
51 Ye stiffenecked and of vncircumcised heartes and eares, ye haue alwayes resisted the holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.
20 Vnto him therefore that is able to do exceeding aboundantly aboue all that we aske or thinke, according to the power that worketh in vs,
1 If thou shalt obey diligently the voyce of the Lord thy God, and obserue and do all his commandements, which I commande thee this day, then the Lord thy God wil set thee on high aboue all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and ouertake thee, if thou shalt obey the voyce of the Lord thy God.
14 If my people, among whome my Name is called vpon, doe humble them selues, and praye, and seeke my presence, and turne from their wicked wayes, then will I heare in heauen, and be mercifull to their sinne, and wil heale their land:
5 Leade me foorth in thy trueth, and teache me: for thou art the God of my saluation: in thee doe I trust all the day. 6 Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy louing kindnesse: for they haue beene for euer. 7 Remember not the sinnes of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindenesse remember thou me, euen for thy goodnesse sake, O Lord. 8 Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he teache sinners in the way. 9 Them that be meeke, will hee guide in iudgement, and teach the humble his way.
23 Who among you shall hearken to this, and take heede, and heare for afterwardes? 24 Who gaue Iaakob for a spoyle, and Israel to the robbers? Did not ye Lord, because we haue sinned against him? for they woulde not walke in his waies, neither be obedient vnto his Lawe. 25 Therefore hee hath powred vpon him his fierce wrath, and the strength of battell: and it set him on fire round about, and he knewe not, and it burned him vp, yet he considered not.
9 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, They shall gather as a vine, the residue of Israel: turne backe thine hande as the grape gatherer into the baskets. 10 Vnto whome shall I speake, and admonish that they may heare? beholde, their eares are vncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: beholde, the worde of the Lord is vnto them as a reproche: they haue no delite in it. 11 Therefore I am full of the wrath of the Lord: I am weary with holding it: I will powre it out vpon the children in the streete, and likewise vpon the assembly of the yong men: for the husband shall euen be taken with the wife, and the aged with him that is full of daies.
23 Who among you shall hearken to this, and take heede, and heare for afterwardes?
17 Then faith is by hearing, and hearing by the worde of God.
14 But the naturall man perceiueth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can hee knowe them, because they are spiritually discerned.
22 Let him that hath an eare, heare what the Spirit saieth vnto the Churches.
10 Be still and knowe that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I wil be exalted in the earth.
30 Also thou sonne of man, the children of thy people that talke of thee by the wals and in the dores of houses, and speake one to another, euery one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and heare what is the word that commeth from the Lord. 31 For they come vnto thee, as the people vseth to come: and my people sit before thee, and heare thy wordes, but they will not doe them: for with their mouthes they make iestes, and their heart goeth after their couetousnesse. 32 And loe, thou art vnto them, as a iesting song of one that hath a pleasant voyce, and can sing well: for they heare thy woordes, but they doe them not.
18 Take heede therefore how ye heare: for whosoeuer hath, to him shall be giuen: and whosoeuer hath not, from him shalbe taken euen that which it seemeth that he hath.
7 And the peace of God which passeth all vnderstanding, shall preserue your heartes and mindes in Christ Iesus.

14 And this is that assurance, that we haue in him, that if we aske any thing according to his will, he heareth vs.
10 He said moreouer vnto me, Sonne of man, receiue in thine heart al my words that I speake vnto thee, and heare them with thine eares,
26 But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father wil send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, which I haue tolde you.
9 And he said vnto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect through weakenesse. Very gladly therefore will I reioyce rather in mine infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproches, in necessities, in persecutions, in anguish for Christes sake: for when I am weake, then am I strong.
7 Waite patiently vpon the Lord and hope in him: fret not thy selfe for him which prospereth in his way: nor for the man that bringeth his enterprises to passe. 8 Cease from anger, and leaue off wrath: fret not thy selfe also to doe euill. 9 For euill doers shalbe cut off, and they that wait vpon the Lord, they shall inherite the land.
105 NUN. Thy worde is a lanterne vnto my feete, and a light vnto my path.
2 But he that goeth in by the doore, is the shepheard of the sheepe. 3 To him the porter openeth, and the sheepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his owne sheepe by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when hee hath sent foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce.
22 And be ye doers of the word, and not hearers onely, deceiuing your owne selues.
20 Behold, I stand at the doore, and knocke. If any man heare my voice and open ye doore, I wil come in vnto him, and will suppe with him, and he with me.

1 My sonne, if thou wilt receiue my wordes, and hide my commandements within thee, 2 And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding, 3 (For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for vnderstanding: 4 If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures, 5 Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and finde the knowledge of God.
47 He that is of God, heareth Gods wordes: yee therefore heare them not, because ye are not of God.
