²³ And he sayd to them all, If any man will come after me, let him denie himselfe, and take vp his crosse dayly, and follow me. ²⁴ For whosoeuer will saue his life, shall lose it: and whosoeuer shall lose his life for my sake, the same shall saue it. ²⁵ For what auantageth it a man, if he win the whole worlde, and destroy himselfe, or lose himselfe? ²⁶ For whosoeuer shall be ashamed of me, and of my wordes, of him shall the Sonne of man be ashamed, when hee shall come in his glorie, and in the glorie of the Father, and of the holy Angels. ²⁷ And I tell you of a suretie, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they haue seene the kingdome of God.

¹⁵ Henceforth call I you not seruants: for the seruant knoweth not what his master doeth: but I haue called you friends: for all things that I haue heard of my Father, haue I made knowen to you.

⁵ I am that vine: ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruite: for without me can ye doe nothing.

¹ If yee then bee risen with Christ, seeke those thinges which are aboue, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God. ² Set your affections on things which are aboue, and not on things which are on the earth. ³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ which is our life, shall appeare, then shall ye also appeare with him in glory.

²⁷ For all ye that are baptized into Christ, haue put on Christ. ²⁸ There is neither Iewe nor Grecian: there is neither bonde nor free: there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Iesus. ²⁹ And if ye be Christes, then are ye Abrahams seede, and heires by promise.

²² That is, that yee cast off, concerning the conuersation in time past, that olde man, which is corrupt through the deceiueable lustes, ²³ And be renued in the spirit of your minde, ²⁴ And put on ye new man, which after God is created vnto righteousnes, and true holines.

²⁷ Now ye are the body of Christ, and members for your part.

¹⁹ Knowe yee not, that your body is the temple of the holy Ghost, which is in you, whom ye haue of God? and yee are not your owne. ²⁰ For yee are bought for a price: therefore glorifie God in your bodie, and in your spirit: for they are Gods.

¹⁰ For we are his workemanship created in Christ Iesus vnto good workes, which God hath ordeined, that we should walke in them.

¹ Behold, what loue the Father hath giuen to vs, that we should be called the sonnes of God: for this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him. ² Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is. ³ And euery man that hath this hope in him, purgeth himselfe, euen as he is pure.

²⁰ I am crucified with Christ, but I liue, yet not I any more, but Christ liueth in me: and in that that I now liue in the flesh, I liue by the faith in the Sonne of God, who hath loued me, and giuen him selfe for me.

⁹ But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthoode, an holy nation, a people set at libertie, that yee shoulde shewe foorth the vertues of him that hath called you out of darkenesse into his marueilous light,

⁵ Before I formed thee in the wombe, I knewe thee, and before thou camest out of the wombe, I sanctified thee, and ordeined thee to be a Prophet vnto the nations.

¹¹ For I knowe the thoughtes, that I haue thought towards you, saith the Lord, euen the thoughtes of peace, and not of trouble, to giue you an ende, and your hope.

¹⁷ Therefore if any man be in Christ, let him be a newe creature. Olde things are passed away: beholde, all things are become newe.

²⁷ Thus God created the man in his image: in the image of God created he him: he created them male and female.
