⁴ Thou shalt make thee no grauen image, neither any similitude of things that are in heauen aboue, neither that are in the earth beneath, nor that are in the waters vnder the earth. ⁵ Thou shalt not bowe downe to them, neither serue them: for I am the Lord thy God, a ielous God, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon the children, vpon the third generation and vpon the fourth of them that hate me: ⁶ And shewing mercie vnto thousandes to them that loue me, and keepe my commandemets.

¹⁹ The same day then at night, which was the first day of the weeke, and when the doores were shut where the disciples were assembled for feare of the Iewes, came Iesus and stoode in the middes, and saide to them, Peace be vnto you. ²⁰ And when he had so saide, he shewed vnto them his handes, and his side. Then were the disciples glad when they had seene the Lord. ²¹ Then saide Iesus to them againe, Peace be vnto you: as my Father sent me, so sende I you. ²² And when he had saide that, he breathed on them, and saide vnto them, Receiue the holy Ghost. ²³ Whosoeuers sinnes ye remit, they are remitted vnto them: and whosoeuers sinnes ye reteine, they are reteined. ²⁴ But Thomas one of the twelue, called Didymus, was not with them when Iesus came.

⁵ For there is one God, and one Mediatour betweene God and man, which is the man Christ Iesus,

¹⁸ And I say also vnto thee, that thou art Peter, and vpon this rocke I will builde my Church: and ye gates of hell shall not ouercome it. ¹⁹ And I will giue vnto thee the keyes of the kingdome of heauen, and whatsoeuer thou shalt binde vpon earth, shalbe bound in heauen: and whatsoeuer thou shalt loose on earth, shall be loosed in heauen.
