¹ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. ² But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. ³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also doth not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. ⁴ The wicked are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. ⁵ Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. ⁶ For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the wicked shall perish.

²³ whatsoever ye do, work heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men;

¹⁷ that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.

¹³ And for this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received from us the word of the message, [even the word] of God, ye accepted [it] not [as] the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also worketh in you that believe.

²⁰ knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation. ²¹ For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Ghost.

² Here, moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. ³ But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. ⁴ For I know nothing against myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

¹² For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹⁰ He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much.

¹⁶ Every scripture inspired of God [is] also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
