Bible verses about "judgment" | EJ2000

Matthew 12:36

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Romans 2:5-12

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who will render to everyone according to his deeds: 7 to those who persevered in well doing, glory and honour and incorruption, to those who seek eternal life; 8 but unto those that are contentious and do not obey the truth, but are persuaded by unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. 9 Tribulation and anguish shall be upon every human soul that does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek; 10 but glory, honour, and peace to everyone that works good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no respect of persons with God. 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law

1 Corinthians 4:5

5 Therefore, judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each one have praise of God.

Revelation 20:11-15

11 ¶ And I saw a great white throne and him that was seated upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and their place was not found. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened; which is the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and Hades delivered up the dead which were in them; and the judgment of each one was according to their works. 14 And Hades and death were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

2 Corinthians 5:10

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive according to that which they have done in the body, good or evil.

Romans 14:10-12

10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou belittle thy brother? for we shall all stand before the tribunal of the Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Romans 14:12-13

12 So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Let us, therefore, not judge one another any more, but judge this rather: that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

James 2:13

13 For judgment without mercy shall be done unto the one that has shown no mercy; and mercy boasts against judgment.

Matthew 7:1-29

1 ¶ Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with the judgment with which ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with the measure with which ye measure, ye shall be measured again. 3 And why dost thou behold the mote that is in thy brother’s eye but dost not consider the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou be able to see to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend you. 7 ¶ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; 8 for every one that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom, if his son asks for bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those that ask him? 12 ¶ Therefore, all things whatsoever ye desire that men should do unto you, so also shall ye do unto them, for this is the law and the prophets. 13 Enter ye in at the narrow gate, for the way that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and those who follow it are many; 14 because narrow is the gate, and confined is the way which leads unto life, and there are few that find it. 15 ¶ Keep yourselves also from the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. 20 So that by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in the heavens. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore, whosoever hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him unto a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock; 25 and the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that hears these words of mine and does not do them shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand; 27 and the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these words, the multitude marvelled at his doctrine; 29 for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.
